Lol! I remember fishing a beach up near Port Stephens once. Samurai Beach, I think it was. I'd been fishing for an hour or so and squatted down to get some gear out of my big. "Catching anything, mate?", I hear. I looked up and copped an eyeful of something I did not want to see at 8.00 in the morning!

sorry about the outcome - but a great post. I hope to be reading you victory rant next time

the so called deep water outlets dont really do a great job but as said above after any rain the system get worse & we get the brown effluent staining our beautiful water
-
you sure cant complain about that mate - well done & I hope your is "hooked on fishing"
-
Glad you joined the Raider' family - keep an eye on the posts & see if you can get "adopted" by an experienced raider!

Towards the front is better from a weight aspect but from a volume aspect a location around the center of the boat would be better so it becomes a bit of a balance between weight & volume.
Stainless is better but there are a lot of boats fitted with Aluminium as Alum is lighter & the material less expensive
On the side is more convienent but difficult to know how much fuel is in the tank. In the floor allows the use of a dip stick.
Fuel gauge may be an option but not sure how to calibrate to a custom made tank
Baffles , Nice to have , nor sure if they are esential.
Talk to Gary at Serious Stainless. I understand he only has stainless available but he may be able to put you onto an Aluminium fabricator.
Huey from Huett Marine may also know someone

We fished around the playground off Wimbledon for a few hours yesterday & all I did was feed the fish but mrs flightmanager caught a keyring brim.
but still I would rather be doing that than sitting at home

Help please!
I tried starting the boat last w/e only to find I have a flat battery. Well I charged the battery and still nothing … not a sound. Lights, radio etc completely dead. I found this doobalacky that seems like it’s shorted, although it doesn’t appear to be a fuse. Can anyone with some nouse (as I have very little ) tell me what this is and if this could be my electrical problem or what else it potentially might be?
Thanks and cheers,
Cam
I think its a fuseable link, but you will want to get it checked by a sparky

G'day all,
Just playing around with some of the new features, and checked out my profile page, it says i've got no mates(woe is me). So i thought that if any other Raiders had the same problem i would start a no mates thread and maybee we would all end up with at least one mate on our profile page.
Cheers,
Bruce
Sooo funny - I just checked out my profile & I have 2!!! lucky me.
