gday mate, have you checked out this thread yet ---> Jewfish tactics
Seems to be pretty helpful although i still have not landed my first jew yet
but others i've taken have haha Good luck bud
+ im sure a lot of members/pros here would be able to help you out also you might want to throw up thread in the "Adopt a Novice" section and you may even be able to head out with some of the jewfish pro's and they may teach you a thing or two about getting some jews
but yeh good luck on your hunt

Gday mate, sorry to hear about all that, depression is something that has become more common or at least more recognized. I usually just go fishing to help relax/calm my self especially after a crappy day
also when ever you need someone to talk to don't hesitate to post up on here
i'm sure your posts will not go disregarded people always want to hear what others have to say as well
also sucks to hear how workplaces disregard things like that, it is pretty inconsiderate of workers to say and do the things most of them do, and this happens in a lot of workplaces including my own.
Have you tried talking to work mates or the boss about your condition? not sure if it will make them a little more lenient or not, sure didn't in my case as i still get the "Oh, your sick, do you have to take the whole day off cant you come in half day". heck just the other day i had problems with my Achilles tendon after i accident involving a whipper snipper and i couldnt walk properly for 2 weeks and to top it off the wound got badly infected, i actually got told off for trying to change the dressing saying its nothing, and i actually came to work ..
it is silly what happens in some work places.
Good luck with everything mate hope get some relief from your pains as well
and remember were always here to talk
Regards
Aaron

well ive seen people use mono n still work sp's fairly well

damn wherea bouts was that mate i was sittin at picnic point last night with the mrs she hooked up onto some small bream all i got on the SP's were tailor, and thats all
had one hit on my blade but then it got hooked on a rock upon retrieval and that was lost
im pretty bad with georges river
-
i suppose it could but you would have to rely on the fact that a fish would just be swimming past at the time, personally dont think would work as good as if you worked itit does need to be moving for the fish to notice it

still 30 bonnies in my books isnt a failed trip
sounds like a great trip should of used some bonnies as live bait
(smaller ones ofcourse)
-
squid i get from the wharfs around sydney yakkas also but yakkas are all over the place near structures i usually launch @ tunks park when fishing the harbour so i stop under the spit to grab my live bait then head off to my usuall spots
-
got my hat n mat yesturday
and went out fishing to christen it instead my wife caught 3 bream :/ all undersize though
-
haha go dragons but in the end we still choke
-
Thanks Aaron
Fantastic how you made the (google) map.
We've been fishing the Spit (attached to one of the buoys just after the spit, going out ), not catching much, but we were not burlying either.
If you say its good, we'll give it a try again (with a 2KG Pilchard Block - that keeps him entertained too)
yeh its not too bad for them fresh/live squid work a treat there but yeh around the moorings and the bridge its self should be able to pick some up + alot of thumper bream around and jews on the bottom near the moorings too (according to what i've been told)
Middle head has a fair few rats tailor sambo's bream snapper etc..
Oh and your welcome mate
i know im spose to take you out to chase them one weekend just gotta organize my blueslip for my trailer n ill shoot u a pm to take you as well
-
yes it is possible to get kings after 10am and if you want i can direct you to a decent spot that will be able to produce some rats and some fairly decent kings as well.
and you will still be able to play with other fish while waiting for them
best thing is to burley up heaps and also live yakka/squid work very well but they can get picked up on SP's and metals too!
below a small map
HOPE THIS HELPS

great news
only thing is i cannot remember the date it happened was late last year and that was the last time i ever went there again
-
if its only surface rust, basically sand back to metal put on some rust protector and possibly paint it again if it is painted there was this really good stuff last time i was at the auto paints shop for rust which i bought for my project car that had a bit of rust
i think it like $15 or something for 200ml but basically only needed few drops, and no it wasn't fish oil either i will look it up for you and get back to you on the rust protector but basically just sand back n treat it and seal it with a coat of paint.
if it is more serious than surface rust it will require cutting and welding or replacing the whole peice

cheers slinky and once more i apologize if i offended anyone
but it does need to be addressed police patrols in these area's would work well as well as a no loitering rule
boom gates would be great but i doubt it would happen as it will cost a fair bit to keep it operational at the hours that it is needed for.
as earlier stated ive come back to my car with flat tyres all round ... was great that someone had a 12v air pump that got them up enough to get to the local servo. I have also seen people have Rollers stolen from their trailers and winches etc..
if the police can remove these people and patrol it at night would be great.

Aaron

happy bday to all

it is shocking,
they are all just a bunch of 16-17 yo P Plater idiots who are arrogant and think they are untouchable when they are with a group of friends.
i dont goto that boat ramp no more seems a lil dodgy to me anyway but kyeemagh has the same amount of tools as the botany ramp and i've had the stupidest of things stolen .... and once came back to see my car with flat tyres >:/
i suggest police need to patrol the area's as the security gaurd ive seen at the botany ramp do bugger all
edit: removed some more rants
-
i only eat kings n some bream from around the heads, spit bridge and manly side, but yeh i wouldn't touch fish from that side
whats the news on this anyway anyone find out whats the go?

nope but you gotta do a small course![:)](//www.fishraider.com.au/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png)
easiest way is to get incontact with a licencing agent who runs the course basically you pay them like $100 or somthing do the course + sit the exam + they practically give you the answers. then you get a cert take that to waterways n bang licence done
