Its a bit late now i guess but anyway.. the top 20 mins or the bottom 20 mins. umm averages id say 15lb plus , my best there went over 30lb(from a boat nearby ) ,, if u are fishing the wharf itself cast to your left back up river as far as possible into a deep hole there. Best bait by the way for me has always been cheap arse dead pili's, livies havnt seemed to cut it there for some reason. Dont expect to get hits all night, u may get 1 or 2 but they will be biggens so have good equipement and make sure ya rods not just sitting there in gear because it will dissapear never to be seen again.

Did u do it in place or did you remove it. Im sure removed you could give it a real good clean with a wire wheel and prime then paint using killrust type products. You could use a dremel if u are going to clean it in place.

hey anyone know any good canopy makers in Sydney ?? I did get a price from a company that offers a mobile service to my house and will make and instal it then and there. They will make one with all the aluminium tubing and canvas with a zipped opening at the front to stand and drive or reach the anchor for $550. Does that sound a fair price ?

Im not sure where exactly this 94 model fits in there, PLate shows its from Bermuda Sports Boats Australia - Division of Marine Power International Anyway it was a bit older than what i was looking for but it had prettywell the same features as later models ive checked out, So i have bought it at a very good price and ill spend a few $$ and it will be a perfect boat for me.

Thanks for the link, ive been looking for jackets like that for a while.. the 149 buck ones look ok.. expensive yes but also very practical . As far as the full spray jacket type goes.. is it worth paying that much for something u will only use in winter?

Hi Everyone Ive been in the market for a Quintrex in the 4.55 to 4.75 range for a while now and i have just came across a 1994 Bermuda Islander for a good price. I have heard that these boats were once made by Quintrex and to a high standard and at some stage they were then manufatured by a differant company and developed hull weakness issues etc. Does anyone have much knowledge on these boats...?? Thanks in advance.. oh also how many posts until i can view the classifieds??

Hi All Great site and great ppl here as well. I have been here a little while but ive done more reading then posting lol. I prettywell love all fishing except rock ( hate the walk in lol ) I prefer to target Jew in the estuaries and Kings when around blue water but still enjoy the good ole bread and butter fish like bream ,flattys etc. I know and love the waters west of the Harbour bridge very very well but since its a polluted fishing no go zone my fishing has come to a bit of a stand still until i get a bigger boat to head straight past the bridge to the heads and beyond .

30 and 50 litre mini otto bins from the big hardware shops are also good for making livie tanks . I made up one for a friend and it sits nicely on the back shelf of a Quintrex.And can be removed when not in use . I made it with a 50litre and the weight is noticeable when u are moving so id make the next one with the smaller sized 30L . Ive lost the pics but ill try get a new one to post up here.

What sort of crowd uses this ramp ? i was going to have a fish in the morning on my own and i find nothing worse than a crowded ramp of impatient wankers who would rather whinge then help ppl who are sometimes struggling . Also im a shocker reversing from my new ute (cant see my empty traler) and i hate looking like a noob lol. I find a ramp mainly used by fisho's seems to be pretty freindly.

Thanks for reminding me of another negative to add to the list, they announced in 2009 that they were axing something like 1million from the fish stocking programe. Great id rather just catch carp anyway . Im glad a few ppl here have seen them at some stage but if they bosted the numbers 10 fold the revenue from fines alone would cover the cost.
