Not bad eating if you eat them fresh...if you dont mind picking out bones.

Just wondering if any raiders have gone ahead with solar power at home and
1. how many kilowatts is your system
2. how much did it cost you?
3. are you happy with the install etc?
4. does it save as much as they said it would?
any other thoughts
I would also like to know..
I got a quote for a 4kw system which would cost around the 18k mark...thats including the rebate taken off too...

I might as well show you the two fish, i didn't take photos of the reef stuff. Normally i would throw back a snapper this size but my brother wanted it for his daughter. The only reason i took a photo of it because when they are just on size , they are known to shrink about half a centermeter dead and you wouln't want to get fined.
Won't save you from getting a fine....but nice fish all the same..

Suspension airbags will allow you to raise and lower your suspension as you need it... Thats what i did to my landcruiser....works a treat. Cost me about $400 or something like that for the rear.

You should get a boat serviced and looked over before you 1st take it out for your own safety and the safety of your passengers...
Anyways....check for spark and fuel....

We'll be chasing them next weekend....

I bought a Eagle FishElite 640C from the US through the famous auction site. They go for around the $450 mark, although delivery can be a bit pricey.
On top of that you will need a 32XG navionics card which are around $300..
All up, i paid under $800 for a very nice combo which i am very happy with.

I assume it was the same guy that apparently caught the squid and hairtail which he has never seen before...

Mate, when this many blokes, with this many different boats, with such broad expereince are, for no other reason than pointing you towards a solution, saying take it to Huey's and the pain will be over...There's a msg in there somewhere. Take it to Huey's
Good luck with it
Rgds
Dhutchy
Like huey said though... It's hard to fix it when you don't see the problem.. Not all mechanics are dodgy..

To use VHF legally you are meant to have a operators certificate of proficancy as well (small amount of study or do a course, pass the test, pay a small fee and get issued a piece of paper valid for life)
cheers
Rod
I've spoken to the water police a couple of times and they have informed me that recreation fishermen that use VHF for safety reasons only don't need a license...so don't let that steer you away from getting one Dhutchy..but i guess its a good idea to get a license as it teaches you a lot of safety issues..

Man....it was so hard reading that...
Its normal for the bulb to go soft"ish" after you start the engine... Although it does sound like you have a fuel pump problem...or a leak in fuel lines.. I doubt it will be anything major... Take it to Hueys...after all, he is the sponsor, not to mention he is pretty good at what he does.... there's a mobile sponsor too...right?? but he will charge a call out fee i would guess..
But check the fuel lines first..might save you a trip..

I think you do have to do a bit of practical, i got mine a few months ago and i was required to do five trips with someone else who has there licence (friend who has theres) but the test was easy 100%
Wow...thats a good idea..
-
nope but you gotta do a small course
easiest way is to get incontact with a licencing agent who runs the course basically you pay them like $100 or somthing do the course + sit the exam + they practically give you the answers. then you get a cert take that to waterways n bang licence done
You are better off knowing the answers rather than them given to you..and so is everyone else on the water.
The test is fairly easy though, if you know the rules, and have a bit of commonsense.
here is the online quiz http://www.maritime.nsw.gov.au/boattest.html
And you can buy the course CD online too... https://online.maritime.nsw.gov.au/OnlineBSC/
Hope that helps

your really not suposed to eat fish west from the harbour bridge especially mullet and bream there are articles online about were and what u can eat,
Yup.. Although some people would disagree...
I'm sure they are eating their words now, and not anything from west of the bridge.

You'll find kings most time of the year around Scotland Island. There are a few wrecks here and there.

I've been there late Sunday night launching a boat...and there were P platers hanging out there then.. I felt like calling the cops, but they seemed to be just hangin out, doin the odd "burn out"...nothing me and my mates didn't do when we 1st got our licenses...
Maybe 24hr taped camera surveillance would be a good idea, with better lighting.
