  1. Stu, I thought you knew I dipped your lures in the fuel tank each night and loosened your knots to ensure that I can get a head start. However, I should stop doing that when we are competing as a team.....heheheheh
  2. Hi Pmak, Sounds like a good trip with your son and FIL, pity the fish were shut down. Did you notice what the Barometric pressure was doing over the weekend. I have found the Yellas really like a rising Barometric pressure. Your Son's PB Yella looks huge in his hands, it must have given a good account for itself. Bassboy and I must make the trip out west to give the Yellas a real nudge, maybe next year.
  3. Stu, Thanks for posting the report. It was an outstanding trip and I look forward to our next bass adventure when I return back to Australia. By the time I get back we will be able to focus on the surface bite in the mornings and evenings. Grant - the fish were mainly in the weed beds ranging from 5 - 8 feet deep with the tops of the weeds siting between 2 - 4 feet from the surface. The trick was to ensure that the plastics were just ticking the tops of the weed. PK
  4. Great report pmak and congratulations for getting your wife onto her first Aussie Salmon. They are great little fighters on light tackle and I agree that it is quite exciting to sit in the middle of a feeding frenzy, especially if your the only boat enjoying the opportunity. PS - looks like it was cold
  5. Great fish Bassboy........the mighty southern Barra (EP) are great little fish to catch, especially in the middle of Sydney. It demonstrates the excellent condition of some of our waterways. We might have to explore the Wonny with our new boat to find the holes for you. Can't wait to try your underwater camera with photos of my cracking Bass in two weeks time.
  6. Good onya Stu and great post. I am very envious of you to get the opportunity to fish Europe while also enjoying the adventure. There is no fishing out here and not so much beer either. Enjoy Dublin and everything that Ireland has to offer. Hopefully Steph will allow you to enjoy an educational tour of the Guinness Brewery . See you in early September and hopefully we can get onto some Spring Bass.
  7. Well done Stu, I would have fished too if I was there with you. As they say, a bad day fishing beats a good day at work and I can tell you that you had a better day than I did!! PS - Nice bream and I hope the weather really tested your relatively new gortex jacket?
  8. Great report Stu, very envious of you! Not much fishing happening here at the moment, but I am dreamin of Barra
  9. Thanks for sharing Dean, it looks like an awesome trip despite the testing weather at the back end of the trip. Whilst I am yet to catch a green fish, I could just imagine the explosive strike on your surface lure.........gotta love a productive surface bite on our natives.
  10. Nice bass again Dean, you have certainly cracked the bass bite. Unfortunately my plans to chase the bass in the upper Nepean earlier this week was scuttled by the flooding. Hopefully I can give them a crack this weekend.
  11. Dean, some outstanding sessions mate and excellent photos. There has been some excellent wild river bass fishing this year and I reckon the recent heavy rains will ensure we will continue to see excellent bass fishing over the next couple of years.
  12. Thanks for sharing such a special moment with us. Great to see the young fella reading the river and getting the rewards for his persistence. I am yet to catch a green fish and am very envious of you both. Rob congratulations on your first green fish.
  13. Hi Lyn, congratulations on your PB Bass. Would have been great fun fighting the fish out of the sticks......gotta love the way they hit a spinner bait.
  14. Hi Roberta, congratulations on getting two nice cod....it looked like a tough but enjoyable weekend. Good on you and your team mates for donating your prize to our wounded servicemen and women.
  15. Hi Ray, Cracker session mate especially on light gear. It must have been an unexpected trifecta, but one many of us would love to get.
  16. What a great way to spend your annual leave and good to see your persistence was rewarded with that cracker Jew.
  17. Congratulations on your first jewie, must have been a real treat for the boys to share the moment with you.
  18. Congratulations on the excellent bream on SP. looks promising for summer
  19. Great session lads, must have been an exciting hour and a half. I am surprised they were still feeding with that much food already in their stomach.
  20. Cracker flatty session mate, looks like you've cracked the code for flatties on SPs.

    LEDs

Hi Gazza, unfortunately I don't have a photo as I sold my boat about a month ago. I just followed the wiring diagram and instructions that came with the LED lighting kit (ARC marine submersible version).

    LEDs

I rewired my old trailer with new LED lights using the existing dunbier harness. I used heat shrink to protect the new connection and it worked a treat....it survived two trips to Central Quensland and many boat launches. Good luck with your fit out.
  23. Stonker whiting mate, they would have produced some nice fillets.
  24. Another great session lads, you have certainly worked out the EPs . The good old pink grub is a great lure for EPs and Bass, despite the fact that other raiders question your manhood when using it I understand why Trung turned up late, imagine how many attempts it would have taken to back the boat down the ramp if it was still dark
