When are you coming out for a fish mate ??

Hi all after returning from over seas i was lucky to get the boat out in months so with the batteries charges off to the bay for some king . I did find it hard to get squid and for some reason i had to really mix up the weights and types to get a hit .so after some big squid and about a hour down rigging i found a school no hints on where they are if you look at the pic it should be saying it all .first king was 91cm second was 83 and i have no doubt i would have landed the meter king if we where not booted by the pilot boat lol .ohh and made a quick trip out the heads to and ran into a raider who ran out of squid so you cant leave a raider out there with all these kings around devo i left that spot because looks like he killed it after we left lol always the way

That's ok mate yeh we cleaned up on squid that day we were using bigger jigs like 3.0 and squiding in deeper water .. Yeh we only got 2 kings inside both around the 90cm mark , but didn't have much luck outside when we seen ya .. The maritime wouldn't let us fish at the other spot inside bastards lol .. All n all was a good days fishing

We went to botany fad and the other fad out wide . Nothing but small dolphin fish like 50cm . Some of our live bait was the same size lol shocking !!!

Use your finder look for bait schools . Get a live bait jig drop it down ..... Good luck

Some pics of blue blooded my cousins boat on sunday at port there is a huge number of fish out there and bait to come with it .Cant wait for this sunday the weathers looking great so far .i will post more pics and a full report next week if all goes to plan

Hi raiders I was down the gong today it looks like the dollies are getting bigger got 3 keepers then set the spread to the shelf .used skip baits all day without a touch could it be the huge schools of dolphins everywhere ??

When fishing botany just cruise around and look for schools on your sounder generally it will be yakkas just drop down a live bait jig , depending on what depth the school is swimming put the right size sinker on the bottom .. Who knows might even get a few slimys even better for kingys .. Last time afew weeks back seen some schools of yakkas around the drums in botany .. Good luck next time ...

Hey guys i was under captain cooks bridge last nite with the other 10 boats. i was just thinking i wonder if there are any other raiders around is there a sticker or something you could stick on the side of your boat it would be better to get to know who is who out on the water and pull up for a chat or something .

nahhh the dollies are as small as they can get and the lure was not cheap but i replaced the hook last week along with half of the other lures .i will be taking the hooks back to the tackle store .for the price you pay and you get that crap im not happy at all. ohh and to the 12 mile question there was a small amount of bait stacked up just on 10 miles out 3 stripes and 1 black from 2 boats .

Hit both botany fads today and all have small dollies hanging around .Had a troll half way to browns and as always the small rod goes off and it turns out a 50 to 60 kg stripe turned my hook into a tooth pick lol.The radio was going off all day with hookups at 12 mile and browns and i did not get a thing as always .could not even find bait anywhere .hope everybody else had better luck than me .here is a pic of whats left of the hook
