The dollies have arrived, set out from botany today to the wide fad with FISHBONES and DSANCHEZ and the in hope of some good size fish and possibly a beaky. A count of around 40 fish for the day and had been landed on jigs, plastics, live bait and skirts. After getting a feed we headed out for a beak trolling to Longy when we came across a log floating in a current line. Next thing the long corner goes off and the rod was passed to the girlfriend for her first dolly, and what a dolly it is 118cm and 9kgs. What a first fish for her

It depends how far the arm of the down rigger sticks out. I never do sharp left turns it just looks to close to me . I downrig in less than 6 metres and have only ever lost 1 bomb.

The fun part

When they dropped me off at the boat ramp they checked all my gear and licences.Not bad guys i think i was a little pissed off i had to wait 6 hours for them and was not more than happy to unpack all my gear for the safety check but if it was not for them i would have been stuck. I had 3 boats come over who i asked for a tow but got the same response from everyone. I would but Oatly is just to far.

Just I quick report . Fishing under captain cooks bridge and landed to small Jews 60 and 65 on plastics. Had heaps of hits they are really aggressive at the moment but had not touched the live squid for some reason.
