  1. wow...awsome fish and what looks to be a great idea with the lures....... might be a stupid question, but is the hook only attached to the lure via the screw in thread? it looked like when you unscrewed the back end of the lure to fill it with pillies, that the hook was completely detattched from the lure....
  2. maybe these guys can help http://www.startlocal.com.au/retailrec/seafood/nsw_centralnsw/
  3. id skip the beers and get the grog bowl out.......... TAKI
  4. mmmmmmmmmmm palusami and kokonda.......sounds like someone is having a lovo......
  5. yeah you are probably right in regards to the flotation class of the boat........ i think that when not under way, below a certain floatation class PFD should be word..... all it takes is one jack ass to swamp your boat.... your last 2 points probably can be summed up into 1...... if compulsory auto inflate PFD's are to be worn, then goverment needs to subsidise it, as you said, then make the yearly service on them part of your rego cost...... (cant re rego without having this done)
  6. i used to compete in ocen swims alot, i am a strong swimmer yet i still wear a pfd..... laws are laws....... your less likely to be thrown overboard on a bigger boat......
  7. should seat belts be optional too seeing as they could cause whiplash? is any fish worth a life? i cant see the bad side in wearing a PFD, these days they are so unintrusive that you dont even know you are wearing it......
  8. honestly mate, you dont want to be that guy who cant reminise in the stories etc years down the track...... go to schoolies, spew your guts up, wake up with regret..... darwin will be there year after year..... in my opinion, do the schoolies trip...... you'll kick yourself if you dont
  9. hey all, \ looking to get some rod holders made up for a mates boat..... hes got a new bar crusher 670..... he wants the snapper style rod holders which seem to be the norm in victroia (where the rods sit flat)..... basically want somthign that can be easily removed for when we go off shore.... any idea who to go to and what a rough price guide would be? cheers.
  10. im all for conserving the species..... but do you really think that these "majority" of fishos will abide by the rules... the majority of fishos dont have lisences.....
  11. buy yourself a poddy mullet trap....... simple to use... cheap...... and usually get you some lives......
  12. i have heard stories of some people soaking their baits in WD-40...... not to sure how that would go, or what it does to the waterways..... but i have heard people doing it....
  13. the clubbie could tow a truck... if it could get the traction...... remember the best tow rigs are ones with loads of torque at low rpm....... sell your 3 cars and buy somethign more suitible?
  14. yeah thats a good idea..... i guess im more worried about where the bolt penetrates through the tinny...... i gues there isnt much of a way you can stop that.....
  15. i figured as much with the 316ss but wouldnt you still get corrosion between the 2 metals?
  16. white bait fritters nz style are awesome!!!
  17. hey all, a mate of mine has recently got his hands on a brand new bar crusher.... being a tinny i want to know what steps to take to stop corrosion when we bolt tie down point to it. we are looking at making up somewhere to store the engle so it doesnt get thrown around. with dissimilar metals etc we would hate to see any corrosion start on his new pride and joy.. any ideas, products, or methods we can use? cheers...
  18. hey all, i have a dilema going on in my head at teh moment..... a good friend of mine has jsut bought a brand spanking new bar crusher 670c, him and i have the idea that we will be doing some light game fishign out of it..... now i dont have any game fishign gear at all.... so i am looking at a few options, but i would like to know what is a good entry level game rod and reel? i love the look and reviews of the tiagras, but i dont like the price tag..... i know you get what you pay for so i dont want somthign cheap and nasty...... any ideas? admin, if this post is against the rules, please just delete it..... cheers
  19. yep, dui in a car, lose your bike, car, truck, crane, boat, pwc, helicopter, plane etc....... no room in this world for irrisponsible people.....
  20. awsome effort mate, you didnt try the old hand in a bowl of warm water trick on your mate did you
  21. probably the same way they expect you to get your car home if youve been done DUI and you are alone.... leave it there, or call someone.....
  22. jeeps are still beign made in the usa..... i personally love the european cars, they are miles ahead of the japanese, rememebr, the euro's innovate where as the japs copy.... but they do copy well the previous 2 posts get my point across even more, its personal experiance....... i am talking from my experience..... i like jeeps, and havbe had NO issues with them.....
  23. i hear you with the warranty work, however, in fairness to dealerships......any for that matter, they arent in the business to give stufff away, like with insurance companies, they dlook for any way to get out of it..... so far ive had good experiances with my cvar and warranty work.... keep in mind that they are well within their rights to tell me to get lost, i have a lift kit, stupidly big tires, after market jsut about everything under the car... but mt dealership still is happy to help me out..... its about who you speak to and how you speak to them... going into any dealership raving and carrying on isnt gonna get you anywhere..... alfa..... happy to take your hilix on in an off road challange now that jeep are mostly owned by fiat, you will see big chages with their QC and the likes.... you can alreayd see it filtering through......
  24. hahahaha, i knew id get that comment as soon as i posted.... jeeps get their reputation from their past owners taking short cuts..... alot has changed inthe last 5-10 years with them, you now see them frequenting the outback, which used to be all patrol and land cruisers, yes the after market for them is huge! but not everyone wants to modify their jeeps.... resale value isnt determind by the reliability of a car... take the falcon or commodore for example, both realiable cars, but dont hold their resale at all.... my jeep runs 37 inch tires and my fuel economy is about 13L/100 around town........thats pretty good considering the weight of each wheel and tire... and thats a petrol motor... the jeep GC is a great car, you get alot of bang for your buck, in my time with jeeps (the last 7 years) ive never had to do anythign to the motor except sercvice the car.... and ive given the cars a fair bit of curry when needed.... thats pretty good considering i use my current one in competition and then drive it to work on monday
  25. the diesel it the same as the ones that mercedes use... come out of england from the VM factory... i solid motor, infact they probably have to much torque for the manual gear box... the new petrol motor is already out, the 3.6 penstar.... aparantly it is a ripper of a donk..... but with any new car/ product, they will have some teething issues. once you drive a jeep everything else seems boring..... like i said, im onto my second wrangler.... got mates with nice european cars etc, and while they are extremely nice etc, something always drags me back to the jeep...... id rather push my jeep then drive a hilux
