  1. Gee a bit more of a part in the hair & some dark colouring &you almost look like Hitlers twin lol just kidding no offence Butch Nice Flatty
  2. I picked up a Fin Nor 8500 at a sale & spooled it with 80lb berkley whiplash it holds exactly 600 mtrs its awsome stuff super strong !! Used it on tuna sharks havent had a marlin on it yet but i am confident it will handle it no worries. Its very thin bit pricey but you wont be dissapointed.
  3. That bandaged hand isnt a result of cubing is it
  4. Good on ya Marty, nice to see the colour again i havent been out in ages the boat is sad & dusty lol Did you bottom bash Browns at all ?
  5. Mate thats a shame i was really looking forward to some pics of them big bream in your esky. I dont no what it is but them fish wont take anything, and when we go back to pull the scaffold down if its still there ill get it back to ya but i think some of the railcorp guys mite find it before we get back down there & when i do go im taking my speargun lol
  6. Cant complain with that mate nice haul, i think that snapper may have ripped the plastic from the jig & swallowed it without the hook.
  7. What I should have done was taken my wetsuit & speargun lol but the 2nd pylon on the wollongong side of the river is where the bream where everyday.
  8. the photo isnt that clear but this was a pic i took from my phone of the 2 big bream fighting & the water wouldnt have been any deeper than 1.5mtrs deep in this pic
  9. For those of you interested, i was scaffolding the rail bridge at Minumurra just recently & on the 1st morning i saw bream that would easily hit the 50cm mark & not just 1 or 2 dozens of them i couldnt believe what i was seeing, i tried flicking all sorts of lures no good tried nippers no good even smashed up the oysters & put them on the hook not a touch, i witnessed something iv never seen before 2 of the biggest bream iv ever seen would come out from under the pylons size eachother up & smash eachothers heads together then go back under this happened a lot almost every morning, you will need a small tinnie or kyack to get to them also 100s of blackfish & big trevally under the centre pylons not to mention the big bully mullet there definately an eye opener

    Lowrance HDS 5

Funny isnt it we spend big bucks on boats etc but not everyone likes to pay for a good sounder do your self a favour & get a good one, depending on what type of fishing you do but with a 6mtr plate boat id put a hds8 or 7 as a minimum. My plotter is a lcx 27 7" screen & sounder is hds8
  11. I like the strongbow sticker ( original, sweet, dry, or draught ) original thanks Nice mate very nice
  12. When its like that your best off having another 20-30 boats around to break up the sharks pinching your fish i have found.
  13. Good onya Tuffy thats what dreams are made of, congratulations bud
  14. Yes the sharks were bad yesterday altho we cant complain, first fish on the troll was a small fin, then a 3way hook up on albies then another a couple hours later & started a cube straight after that only to have a huge mako at the back of the boat & wouldnt leave so we left, went closer in to browns & cubed for 1 more albie then home & very happy with our days fishing, didnt even bother bottom bashing at Browns after hearing about the sharks.
  15. Unfortunately by the look of the currents it may be hard to bottom bash brown soon
  16. Just out of curiosity when you gut the fish what have they been eating mostly ?? Well done guys.
  17. Id say a majority of boats are probably still out there on just about back in, looking forward to any news, ill be heading out early morning anyway.

  23. Hi all firstly not sure where i should of posted this but, today on my way home from work i picked up the Mosman daily on the train & found an article stating, That the Spit bridge will be closed to all marine traffic for 14 days from Monday 14th - Sunday 1st of July for upgrading. The 10.6million state government project involves installing new electrical cables & a new motor, brake & gearbox to improve the operating system that opens & closes the bridge. It will be closed to pedestrians cyclists & motorists between 1am & 4am June 18 & monday 2 July. So looks like during that time will have to launch the boat from other ramps Just incase anyone wasnt aware. Glad i picked up the paper, hope im not wrong has anyone else heard this ??? Cheers Steve.
