  1. Let me start by saying the harbour is on fire atm. It all started when we arrived at our spot at about 5am set out our baits and before to long my dad gets nailed after a few short minutes up comes a nice 68cm jewie. Then a couple of minutes later i get nailed only to bring my new PB flattie at 70cm . After that we knew we where in for a top day. We were catching fish consistantly until about 8 some water patrol came and told us we could not anchor where we were. So we lifted anchor and done a drift and my dad hooked another nice flattie which went 55cm and i followed up with a 42cm. All up we got 8 flatties, 1 jewie, 2 trevs, and 1 bream. I also released a undersize king which was good fun none the less. It was a top day and i enjoyed every minute spending time with my dad. Cheers Joe

  6. Hey all this is a bit of a late report but here it goes anyway..... Me and my dad headed the Hawksbury. Was on the water by 5.30 water was calm heading out lion island but getting closer the swell was getting pretty big started to have second thoughts on heading out. But we still continued on our journey to be greeted by calm weather. So we found our drifting starting point. 1st drift caught 2 tailor 2 flathead a couple of undersize snapper and 2 shovel nosed sharks. Second drift got 3 more flathead and 1 shovel nosed sharks. 3rd drift got 4 more flathead. Done a fourth drift but only got 1 small rock cod and snags . Headed back to the ramp pretty happy with our catch only to see other people that came in for the day went pretty crap. All in all had a top day on the water spending time with my dad. Cheers Joe

  20. Hi all, Me, Marco (Italian Stallion), Michael (Predatorofthesea), Kiro, and Ivan (d() headed out to the bay yesterday in search of some flathead. Arrived there about 1000am the tide was high and hopes were high to catch some flatties and hoping to hook Ivan his first flathead. Anyway walked along the beach flicking away Marco at one stage had a squid latched its self to his soft plastic which was lost mililiters away . Then Michael hooked a fish only to lose it . A couple of hours went by so we all decided it was lunch time so we headed to the takeaway store for some burger and chips thats when i came up with a brilliant idea to head to Balmoral. Marco had to leave to go motorbike riding. Kiro and Ivan where frantically on there phones trying to get out of other commitments but to no avail . So it was me and Michael only we got there only to be greeted with traffic galor. but we continued our journey anyway. We walked along the beach until finally i got the first fish of the day it was a small chopper tailor which absolutly smashed my soft plastic. We then moved on and on the first cast i hooked up again only to a nicer fish which i think was a flathead only to lose him . We soildered on and again first cast bang im on so was Michael. Michael lost his half way through the fight and i finally land a nice 50cm flathead thanks to Michael and his nice netting skills i had dinner. We tried a couple of othe4r spots but it was getting late and was time to go home. Dont worry Ivan i will hook you to a fish if its the last thing i do. Thanks to all you guys i had a top day and could not have asked for better company. Cheers Joe

  23. Hi all, Me and the italian stallion headed out today for the plastic workshop. Even though we were late due to having one to many drinks and a couple of but we finally made it there. There i meet Michael top bloke (thanks for a good day). So we rigged up and headed out for a fish. Italian stallion was the first to hook up on a small chopper tailor only to lose it in front of us . Then Marco had to leave us to go motorbike riding. Later on me and Michael were lucky enough to go out with Chris on his boat where he landed one bream and i lost a nice one also thanks heaps for that Chris really appriciate it. Got back in and everyone had disappeared so we decided a move was in place we headed over to Canada Bay in Five Dock and before long i hooked up on to a nice flattie on a 1/16th jig head on a size 2 hook with new penny 3 inch minnow gulp. Was very happy with that so after a couple of happy snaps he was released to fight another day. All in all a top day and thanks to everyone who made this possible. And after that i arrived home to find dinner on the table and a nice cold glass of wine made by my beautiful wife (Mrs slayer666) Cheers Joe
