Trout are mainly winter species arm your self with some surface lures and head down to nepean river for some bass action or even throw out some corn on a small hook and smallish sinker for some big carp action.

I would put on about 20lb braid and the rod i will go is a live fibre 6kg to 10kg its nice and light. I got the 12000 size baitrunner on a live fibre 8kg to 15kg and i love it.

Hi mate you can match the rod with either the tierra reel or the exceler reel which both come with spare spools. Loaded up with 8lb nitlon braid which also comes in blue. Hope this helps and good luck.

When snelling hooks does it matter what type of hook you use? Does it have to be a bent eye or can you use hooks that have a straight eye? Thanks for any help

I'm tossing up on which braid to spool my Shimano bait runner 12000D. Should I go for the suffix braid in 50lb or the Sunline super PE 50lb. What would be your recommendations? What are the pros and cons of both braids? Any help would be great

I have the shimano baitrunner 12000D and it felt awsome and very light for it's size. The feature I really like is the big handle enough to crank in those big kings. Hope this helps in any way.

Is using snap clips for squid jigs any good? Does it affect the way the jig swims? Is it better if I tie the jig directly on the leader? Any help would be great.
