  2. Yesterday me and fellow raider victor headed to georges river in chase of some black fish we arrived at our spot threw in our baits and started the burley and the waiting game began. Didn't have to wait long till my first down and the first blackfish of the day was landed the bite was good for awhile and we had 5 fish in the bag then it slowed down. We caught a few more then when it hit about 4.30 and they came hot on the bite and we started getting downs constantly and a few more fish were landed. One of the fish I hooked on put up a big fight and I was thinking I'm gonna beat my PB but when the fish surfaced we realized it was hooked by tail. After 6 the bite went quiet so we packed up and headed home. All up we caught 13 fish 4 for me and 9 to victor Once again I would like to say thanks to victor for the trip out. 11. Me and a fellow fishraider victor went out for a blackfish down at Windang. We arrived at our destination about 11.15am. We set out to our spot put out green weed and the waiting game began. Before long I was on. After a nice fight victor netted my first ever blackfish it measured 41cm. To say I was happy would have been an understatement. Things went quiet after that so we sat back and relaxed. We saw these kids return back with floats and a news paper full of weed. After a while one kid screams I'm on after a little fight he brings in a legal blackfish. He was a happy boy. After a while we moved spots which lasted all of 5min. So we moved back to same spot we started off at. Victor had a couple of downs.after a little while I was on again after a short tussle I brang in a nice 31cm blackkie wooooohooooo. I re-baited 2 minutes later I was on again but lost it as soon as I hooked it ahhh that's fishing for ya. Things went quiet so we decided to call it a day cleaned the fish and headed home. A big thanks goes out to victor for taking the time and patience for showing me the ropes on blackfishing. I now can say I'm officially hooked on blackfish. 12. Me and a mate went to Clifton Gardens today only to be greeted by howling winds. Headed out to the end of the pier but found it very hard to cast out so we decided to move to a more sheltered area on the wharf. We started burley trail and I was watching the burley trail sink and all of a sudden I see these big trevally every where so I grab my yellowtail float rod and bang I was on after a short fight the hooked pulled. So re baited after 5min later bang I was on again and the hooked pulled. Things went quiet for a while. Then all of a sudden bang I was on once again but this time I brang it in it measured 40cm. After that I caught another 3 measuring 38cm, 34cm, and a 32cm with 2 bustoffs and 5 pulled hooks. Cheers Joe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. That is a top jewie mate. They are a very tasty fish. The way I prepare them is you fillet them take the skin off and cut them into steaks just add your favorite marinade and you have one tasty feed. Cheers Joe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Is filleting yellowtail then salting them would be any good for bait? Targeting bream and flathead. Thanks for any input. Cheers Joe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
