Me and a mate went to Clifton Gardens today only to be greeted by howling winds. Headed out to the end of the pier but found it very hard to cast out so we decided to move to a more sheltered area on the wharf. We started burley trail and I was watching the burley trail sink and all of a sudden I see these big trevally every where so I grab my yellowtail float rod and bang I was on after a short fight the hooked pulled. So re baited after 5min later bang I was on again and the hooked pulled. Things went quiet for a while. Then all of a sudden bang I was on once again but this time I brang it in it measured 40cm. After that I caught another 3 measuring 38cm, 34cm, and a 32cm with 2 bustoffs and 5 pulled hooks.
Cheers Joe
