well over the meter mark. Was up on the tweed at Xmas and was fishing just under a bridge in about a meter of water with no luck. Went on top of the bridge to see one about the same size right were my lure was being cast. It was huge and i would have guessed 1.1-1.2m. Threw the lure about 5m in front but spooked her when it got closer. Wish i had the luck you did but just to see her was amazing!! What a crater she left behind and the head was well bigger than a shovel

Well done, I will be up at Wellington fishing the Macquarie in a few weeks to do my own blitz.

nice fish!!! Whats the differences between a blue spot and a dusky? Im guessing they have blue spots but they look very similar to a dusky. Guessing they also patrol in deeper water?

Could be a flatty but guessing a Ray, Seen a few around there

well you guys have answered my question. Last year i was out at Canada Bay and was positive i saw a 40cm barra in the channel and had a good close up 5min look at it. Been barra fishing before but started to question myself if I realy could identify fish species!!

Hey Hawkbass, yep I sure did within 15mins had him on the BBQ nice and fresh. Didn't have the ingredients for the recipe you suggested just had a bit of salt and lemon, whole family loved it!! Will be there again on Sunday nice and early.

Was this on Sunday? i saw a couple of guys fishing there in Kayaks. i caught my fist bass on Sunday just down from the weir 38cm on soft plastics and still on a high!! Converted fresh water fisherman now.
