Unlucky about the bream! Bream from the beach are definitely fighters and much bigger than the river ones.
Did you use salted mullet or just fresh strips?
The reason I ask is I want to try and make some salted bait and need a cheap fish to try it out with.

ive looked at Maroubra a few times, do you fish down the north end of the beach? closer to the rocks?
beach worms from maroubra, thats tops. I've never been worming before, and be interested in how.
Did you have the worm tweesers?
gotta give this worming a go, if the whiting are on the bite!

Yep, I just picked up a Starlo stix 7'2 Squigy spin. 2-4kg
Feels crisp. ill be testing it out next wkend hopefully.

Shame bout the weather, but Callala, jervis, Greenwell Point all very nice places to fish.
