Great pics Alan! Its hard to feel empathy for your sore arms when its so wet back in Sydney and its a new moon lol. Good luck to you though. Looks like Fiji might be on the radar for my next holiday.

Great catch! You clearly outdid your previous fishing PB. So what did the fish weigh? How strong was the line you were using?

Awesome report mate! Must have been frustrating for the first 4 hrs though. It was all worth it in the end I guess. So do you normally catch sambos of that size at your spot?

Nice work mate! Thanks for giving the tip about how you worked the blade, I'll try that next time I'm out on the water. I've also got the same coloured blade in a lighter weight version.

Yeah not sure if its off those rocks aquaman. But if you hit up the ***********, they are in the know. I took their advice on another location, St Georges Basin and it came up trumps with a catch of flatties off the shore.

Thanks for the report GCC! First time I've heard of anyone having a loving moment with a shark. Yeah my brother also hooked a shark the other day off the shore at Cronulla. Problem was he couldn't land it.

I was down fishing off the shore at St Georges Basin and caught 2 flatties last Wednesday. Another bloke who was fishing on the wharf with me caught a 2.7kg flatty the week before. There's been a lot of kingies and bonito caught in Currarong on floating bonito fillets on ganged hooks. Not sure if that helps.

There's a lot of good fishing going on down that way right now. If you head down a bit further to Currarong they're getting big kingfish and bonito off floating baits.

Nice bream mate! Well done on your PB. Georges River is good fishing right now. We took a couple of flatties and bream the other night at Como.
