    Can be a dangerous spot, wear a life jacket and rock cleats as the rocks can be very slippery. Can fish on either headland but southern end is more popular. Never fished off the beach but the rocks can be very prolific at this time of the year with bonito spinning metals. once again this spot can be really dangerous in large swells

    I used to find the headland at the end of caves much more productive than the beach itself. Always fished well for XL Tailor.

    It’s pretty safe mate, just cast off the rocks into the weed beds. Looks for spots of weed and sand rather than just thick weed. Honestly, take the 2km walk to Steamers and you will bag out on salmon

    Have fished Moes a few times before. Excellent drummer and blackfish spot. Have not had much luck with kings there. Have always wanted to fish the lighthouse ledge however never figured out a way down from the top as it is quite steep to get down from the top. Getting down to Paradise rock is easier in my opinion.

    Also, if you’re after Tailor and Salmon we used to get plenty of the headland at the end of caves beach via a bush track. The rocks nearest to the stairs at Steamers Beach also used to be a hot spot for those species. I have some other spots that are a bit dangerous and requires a hike to get to but those two should get you started

    Try Murrays boat ramp and plantation point for squid, that’s were I used to get plenty 10 plus years ago when I used to go down to vincentia regularly.

    Hi Green, I believe that that LBG ledge is still in the clear at Governors and Brooks at Steamers is still outside the zone. Anything past Brooks rock is out cause of the zone. I’ve never fished around Stony Creek (we’re the creek meets the ocean) so don’t know what that’s like?

    Hi mate, I believe there used to be a map of Booderee (south side JB) in the book. I am going down next week and was going to fish some different locations in the area that I have fished in the past when I was young (used to fish governor head and devils)

    Hey Guys, Long time member and need some help tracking down an old book. Book is called “giant fishing map book”. I remember there used to be a section in the book for Jervis Bay ledges, particularly Booderee (south side). Im just after a copy of that section of anyone has access to the book. Also, if anyone has fished the south side ledges lately. Send me a PM or post if your happy too. Thanks guys George

    hey guys when you say 'walk to the point' is it the northern or southern point of curracurrang? i.e. is it the point that is closest to garie's and do you have to walk past the curracurrang camping site??? any other info you could provide to help me to find this spot would be good thanks in advance george

    Hey Guys Anyone here fished a rock platform called 'The Gulf' in the Royal National Park or know how to get there??...heard a rumour you can catch big landbased kingies off this platform. Any info would help greatly Cheers

    Hi Have a shimano baitrunner 6500B which was previously spooled with 30lb mono. I am thinking about changing to 30lb or 50lb braid. What brand of braid do you guys recommend and how much would it roughly cost? Also, what do u guys think about using flurocarbon for leaders??? Cheers George T
