Hi Guys, Have just loaded some 4 lb Fireline braid onto my Shimano 4000 reel. I have never used this before as I have always used Mono. I plan to try some SP's and probably bait as well. A few questions......hopefully some of you regular users can advise Are there any special ways to rig this up? Am I supposed to just tie onto the braid or sould I use a mono leader? Any other tips?

I'm a PE teacher, so always in the great outdoors!

Hi guys, sorry about the previous report. It came up with an error when I went to submit it and I didn't realise that the title had gone through. Hopefully this works ok... Headed out yesterday chasing these elusive Dollies for the first time. Out through the heads at 6.30, beautiful morning, but by the time we got to the FAD off Manly, the wind had picked up and it was getting a bit bumpy. There was 5-6 small boat out there plus 3 charter boats. Everyone was drifting around the FAD but appeared to be doing no good, or at lease I didn't see anyone boat anything. We trolled various minnows, drifted whole and 1/2 pils weghted and un weighted, did everything we could think of for a total of 1 trevally! We headed back in along with most others to get out of the wind, but apart from some rubbish reef fish, no success apart from a lone jacket. 1. It was my first time after dollies.... any suggestions about what else I could have done, or was I doing things right? 2. Did anyone do any good outside yesterday? If everyone dipped out maybe it was just a bad day...... Any thoughts would be appreciated. cheers, Bloo

Netic, I am keen as. I don't have a GPS as yet, so that is all that has been holding me back.... I have been watching your posts closely and would love to get in on the action. I would only be able to make Saturday - have got family coming down Friday. If it works out that you go Saturday I am in..... Let me know what you would anticipate as the arrangements..... Bloo

Going to Kioloa, near Bawley Pt, just after the mad easter rush. Camping at the caravan pk there. Been a few years since I was there, but when I last went there, an older guy took me out on his boat after flathead. We got a heap of them... I have heard that thre are still plenty of good fish to be had down there. Have any of you got any ideas of where/what are the best spots/methods to go/use down there? Would love to hear from any of you. I don't have GPS yet - bummer - so no use giving me any gps co-ords, but would love to hear from anyone with any knowledge of the area cheers, Bloo

Speaking of the stickers, does anyone know how/where I can get one? I have checked out boating shops. tackle shops with no success. Do you have to get in touch with fisheries somehow??? Would love it if someone could point me in the right direction. cheers, Bloo

Hi guys, New to the scene and am wondering if anyone can help out with some info on how and where to catch live bait in the harbour and also in Pitwater. I have been shown how to get squid and have had some success, but would love to know where to go to get them. AS for yakkas, how and where? Any of you experienced fisho's help me out? cheers, Bloo
