Went out to browns yesterday. Started out a beautiful morning calm seas and hardly any wind. Pulled up on the mountain first drop drifting at about 7 knots nothing. After repositioning dropped a couple more times for 0 zilch. Water was 18.9 deg there was about 12 boats out there by 10:30. The wind started to pick up so we decided to go for a troll after about an hour the wind started to die again so we went back to browns for a couple more drops. First drop second time around after about 20 min felt a good bite. There was some weight in this one. It took about 30 min on the alvey reef king to bring the beast up. It went 109cm and 25kg biggest one I've got. All in all it was a tough day out not many caught from reports on the radio but it was all worth wile when the beast surfaced.

I'll have mine medium rare thanks. It is a pretty good bait tho in strips. Caught a few Jews on steak.

doesn't matter which carrier I'm with vodafail and chart plotter worked nearly to heatons with no reception. But I do have reception out to shelf. Were other carriers lost it not very far out at all.

yes it is water depth I use it all the time as a chart plotter. Even used it to navigate out to browns and nearly to heatons hill even when phone has no reception it still works. Also use a program called fishing cal it uses the sun and moon cycles and tells you how productive fishing should be. It is fairly reliable good as a guide.
