Hello Fellow fishraiders, I been having some luck landbased in the swansea area for large bream and tailor around the channel near the bridge, however im looking to go there for a long session morning into the night time. just wanting to know if anyone knows any places that may produce kings or jewies there landbased around the area. what sort of bait are you using aswell live mullet or yakkas ect. any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

i havent posted here in a while since i been hibernating because its too cold to go out for me...lol.....well after bust-off kept annoying me to go out fishing (jokes) i decided to reach deep down inside and grab the gear from the storage shed and take off to meet up with bust off and ol'mate. we jumped on in the late afternoon, went to two spots where we had no luck...heaps of salmon and that busting up behind us lol....tried to keep bust offs eyes away from it.....then decided to try just one more spot....not much happening then bust off soon then was on....he had a pretty good size pig on the other end of his line...he got it to the surface then BANG...he was busted off.....ol'mate got busted a few times on the lighter gear...then i was finally on..they fight hard for little guys..not what i was expecting..got him to the surface i didnt want to loose this one as it was my first pig....ol'mate then scooped it up with the net...i was one happy chap....not much happened after that few little crap fish....but all in all it was a good day.... thanks to bust off and ol'mate for taking us out....and i landed my first pig woot woot!!!:headbang: i will be keen to go out with ol'mate and bust off when the weather heats up to chase those big kings....

i went to balmoral on sunday night and got 1 squid and 1 cuttle fish.......i was there for about 2 hours

JeZ he is talking about another spot which i know....and not the spot where i brought you before and the spot where we catch our fish......the spot he is talking about you cant get yakka you have to transport them there from our spot.....

yes everyone is targeting these big jews of the wharves in the harbour....but i havent seen anyone catch these big monsters yet from the harbour....i seen a photo of a monster being caught a 19kg sample from one the wharves but the photo looked like from the early 90's.......you would probably get the bigger samples more up river like the hawksbury....but you do need a boat.....the wharves are getting a few soapies and up to 100cm samples.....but it comes with time and alot of hard effort....well good luck guys....tight lines sleek

hey bro there are a few spots....i heard that clifton was good...but i dont know atm the kingies havent really come out in the last 2 to 3 weeks for landbased fishermen....but you never know your luck

hey fellow raiders need a bit of assisstance, well my mate really, he is going to go to wollongong on the weekend and he is asking where to find yakkas there....i think he said he is going near a lake....im not to familar with the place maybe he is talking about the lake near windang.....he needs livies to catch the bigger fish whereever he is going to fish if that makes sense....

that place goes off in the summer time....but this winter its either on or off.....You can get big fish there at the right times.....i usually find the mornings to be the best times...but when no one is there you know they are off the bite......

nice catch.......sad to see the little one go though with such a large hook in its mouth

forgot to mention....its a pretty nice boat aswell...lol

told ya i come through....my mate is taking you out....so you are going to have a blast on his boat....so basically you are going to get a private charter for like a 5% of the cost...lol
