  1. Hi. Was just reading your report on Botany Social day in March. Think its a great idea and if I would have discovered your site before I am sure my partner and I would have been there. Looking from the pics there was a couple of familiar boats that I think I have seen at Moll before. Anyway, will be in when you decide on another ( check with the other half of course) but would be fun!
  2. I know the third one..... ITS MADAGASCAR! HA. Only seen it about 3000 times thanks to a certain obsessed 3 year old.
  3. Hello, I know it has been a while since someone made a reply on this post but as I am new I will reply. My name is Alison. I am 24, have a little boy almost 4 and a wonderful fiancee. Recently moved to Sydney from a place called funnily enough " Fishing Point " in Lake Macquarie. My dad had a boat before I was even born ( poor Golden Girl, has not seen any action for atleast 7 years!! ) which when I was about 12 started going out the heads at Nelson Bay. Did this a fair bit till I was about 15. Then 2 years ago, meet Jim who I thought at first enjoyed fishing but was not the fish crazed addict I found out he was. First date sat on a Jetty, 2nd date went fishing at North Entrance on the beach - I turned up in knee high stilletos!!!! 3rd date fished Newcastle Harbour I was a spectator / yakkie catcher / anchor thrower and puller / lug everything onto boat and back off again / food preparer / photographer / boat washer / rod watcher / gopher ( get the file, hook, sinker, etc) / bait checker until a few months ago. After countelss all nighters I started to develop a strange feeling in my body when the rod would buckle over and the reel start screaming zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! So since Christmas I have been having a crack. Best to date has been a 42cm bream, 3.5kg Jew and 80cm Kingie. And what fun I had on those kings! So know I am shall I say slightly Obsessed Plus I love reading these fish sites which is new to me also. Everyday sometimes two or three times. YAY. It is relaxing and a great way for me to unwind after a hectic week plus I sleep like a baby on the boat even in the middle of winter. So,Hello and hope to see some of you on the water! HAPPY FISHING!
  4. Hi there, I am femalefisho's partner. It is very nice to see couples fishing. I love the sport and I do not like the fact that it is predominently a mans sport. Anyone can do it even a 3 year old who is on my case at the moment cause he cant find his easter eggs. Oops I did a quick clean up and I thought the melted mess in a bowl was not needed. "Gone fishing" I noticed you were onto Kingies. You handled them well then you gave them to your hubby. I have to grab the fish for my partner - Would be nice to see you both net or gaff the fish on your own. Do the complete fishing experience. Did you guys get the jew where you were catching the live bait when you were next to us? I noticed you guys came around to the point at about 6.30 and I thought surely they were not going for live bait till then. PS. I told your hubby to anchor a bit further away from the rocks to get the livies. They hang about 15 meters back from the point on the run in. Always there and easy to catch. Good luck next time and we'll say say hi next time : ). Good stuff
  5. Shame..... nothing like chucking on the thermals, ski jacket and beanie and staying out all night in the middle of winter!!!! But it helps to keep warm if u r doing these ones also!!! he he
  6. I am sick of hearing people loosing their lives for an activity that is supposed to be relaxing and fun. The state government really needs to spend some of the money that they collect in publically educating people about risks. Government endorced tv commercials are aired for free. Something really needs to be done. Condolances to the persons family.
  7. Hi. No steve not on that boat. Molineax.
  8. Hello All, New to this site and thought I would post a couple of pics from Thursday Night and Fri morning. The other half and I hit Botany Bay about an hour after high tide. Drove to favourite night spot and within 20 minutes he had landed this nice 7kg jew. Good start for the night. Then on to a nice flattie caught by the other half again! Then finally my rod and I caught my first snapper! Went 39cm. Asleep by 12pm. Then up at 5am to catch yellow tail. Then round to our other spot and off again! Managed 3 kingies all 80cm. Good fun Will be back when I am on the water again. Looking after little fella tonight while the other half is out Jew Bashing!!!!!! Have a great fishing LOOOOOONG weekend!
