I like the Brooker boats and have owned a few over the years. To me they just feel more stable and solid.
I also think the side console offers more space when fishing inside.

Yes,
Gunnamatta ramp is not good for anything big or unless you have a kayak.
Try Yowie bay or even Grays Point if you live west.

PM sent.
When I tried Huett's approx 3 months ago Craig couldn't help me at the time.
I had mine replaced (4.8 cuddy) for $600 but that was with me dismantling it and taking it to the place to get replaced and then re-fitting it myself.
Good luck
Marty
Thanks Marty

Hello All,
I have a Brooker 435 getaway and would like to replace the windscreen.
Any ideas where to go to get some pricing?

I have used a product called gel coat restorer, that I have purchased from Hunts Marine. It is like a mild acid solution. You either brush or sponge on and leave for a couple of minutes and then rinse off. Works like a gem.

I have always had a boat - started at 8 years with a 8ft ply boat with a 3hp Johnson.
Yes boats are not an investment. I have spent and lost money owning boats.
My family and I have had so much fun on our boats. From general boating and relaxing, fire works on the harbour and then to the bay and off shore fishing. So you could say that we have had or monies worth.
I can not see myself without a boat.
We have never been on a expensive overseas trip, but enjoy the boating. Even now, my kids have just got their boat licences and I am going to buy them a tinny, so that they can go out and do some boating.
I agree, you do not need to buy a $75k boat. A much less priced boat will give you the same value at the moment and then buy the $75k boat later in life.

Yep I see this way tooooo often.
I stick my ground and stay to the GREEN side.
I think they relate to the side of the road they drive.
Or they expect the channel markers to change colour when they go they go down stream :-)

Staying in Sydney this year while all you other buggers get out of town.
Hope to hit the Bream and Trevally in Botany Bay and go outside for a Flatty or two.
Happy and safe Xmas and New Year Holidays everyone - be Safe on the water.

Very sad.
Thoughts are with her family, friends and all the other competitors.

Hope the bastard(s) never want to be rescued.

Good day with the family.

I would go to a glass boat, have had alloy as well. The glass is always a little heavier, but with the weight, comes a lot better ride.

You and your son will remember this day for years to come.

Try Woronora boat ramp. Very flat and good early mornings or late afternoons.
Grays Point boat ramp - good floating pontoon there, again better late in the afternoon.

What a great story on how to operate a business.
Wish we had a Huey down south.
I know where you will be getting you boat serviced in the future.

Good catch Yowie, I gave it a go in Bate Bay on Saturday. All I managed was some undersized spikies. But, I was in close in (West of the line of the bommie) as I had a boat full of female deck hands.
May try a little wider on the weekend.

Hey mate,
Great haul of Trevally. It's been some time since I've seen a haul that size, great job.
Did you get them inside and on pillies?
Cheers Dan
Inside the bay on pillies.

Hello The Poacher,
This is the boat that I have been researching.
They are a great all round package and would handle all that I would want to through at it off shore.
I contacted Wye marine the other week for some pricing and were asked for a phone number as they wanted to call me - but as yet I have not received a phone call.
I would be very interested in importing either a superseded model or one that is in as new condition but a couple of years old.
Also have a look at the Sea Fox as they are similar.
Regards

Hey mate, i had a 1903, great boat and i imported too. Sold it earlier this year and now have a 2103. any questions give me a yell. My PM has been disabled for some reason??? Stuey any help???
Thanks Hermozo,
Yes I have looked at the Trophy 1703 & 1903 and are very interested and currently have a Trophy 2102.
Can you supply me with any info, that you can, on how you went about importing the Trophies?

Hi, I have nothing at present that fits your bill and I think you might find it hard to find a fibreglass centre console boat around 5M. Not many glass guys make centre consoles that small and the boat you mentioned is 19 foot so a fair bit bigger than around 5M (16-17 foot). What sort of budget have you got because the only centre console glass boat I can think of around 5M is the Haines Hunter 520 Prowler or now 525 Prowlers. They are excellent hulls and with the console layout hard to beat for a fishing boat.
As Leo said, if you are after a US one contact the boys from Wyee River Marine.
Cheers,
Huey.
Thanks Huey,
I am currently looking at the Trophy 1903, but also welcome other suggestions.

I too have bought wire traces, there are plenty on ebay, you local tackle store or the online shops.
Have never had any problems with getting our quota of flatties on the wire traces and it does save a lot of money with lost gear.
There are plenty of combinations available - so just find the ones that suit.

Hello All,
I am looking at purchasing up to a 5 year old fiberglass centre console for the general run about/fishing routine that is around 5 metres in length..
I have looked at the Trophy 1903 so far, but are after other options. Can be either Australian or USA built.
Any other suggestions please.

Have always gone the custom fit full covers. They are a dream to fit, especially on the lager boats.
Depending on the size of the boat and if it is tall or short will depend on if the cover can be left on when towing.
I live down south and have always used Streamline Boat Covers. But there are others about that will come to your door.
In my opinion, for the extra, say $1500.00 (as Huey has mentioned) it is well worth the money to cover your investment and not have to be either be baling water out of your cover or it collecting leaves from the nearby trees.

Yowie bay ramp is a great ramp - now that it has been done up.
Two lanes and a great pontoon.
What does piss me off, is the idiots in there cruisers, that think that they can just come and park there while they wait for their friends.
