  1. Mate, don't know about cameras but what I did is position my boat in it's parking spot attached to car and painted a line on the drivers side in the garage which I use as a guide when backing and dynabolted a stop at the end.You can just see the yellow line painted on the floor in the pic.Just a idea. 3. Hi mate, most people fish while standing and as for anchoring you need to anchor over the side into a bin or similar. Someone else will help you more im sure. Cheers. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk

Thanks guys, I have a great family. We all have different skills and knowledge and should share with each other and learn as much as we can. That tables only a baby, but yes my brother inlaw is over the moon. This is what I go to bed too every night which I built for my wife a couple of years ago. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk

  7. In short you'll be able to tow any braked boat under 1600kg legally. In regards to slippery ramps theres too many variables that it, s hard to say whether you'll get stuck or worse. On most ramps in good condition and dry you should be fine, but try to pull out on a steep, wet, sandy or slimey ramp, that's when things can go south. Cheers. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  8. Well guys, Very happy sister in law. Found the broken part wedged under the engine bay and after a clean up, some contorsionist work from me and some welding and paint, good as new. Will take the new one back for a full refund for a total cost of $0 to her. Being a single mum she's happy as larry. Cheers. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  9. Exactly that, learn to start your engine, upshift, downshift gears without being unable to disengage the clutch. If you have a clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, release bearing or pressure plate finger failure your clutch disc will be permantly engaged with the flywheel in effect being unable to put your car in first gear while idling to take off. If one of these failures happens while driving and say your in third gear and moving you will in effect have no clutch pedal. You'll be able to shift inti neutral and thats it unless you do what i, ll explain. It will be either on the floor or rock hard with no movement. When it happens it will happen usually with out warning, sometimes you will notice a gradual difficulty in changing gears normally associated with fluid leakage. Heres what to do: When it happens shift into neutral and pull over safely and stop the car. FORGET about the CLUTCH PEDAL it has become useless. Shift into first gear with the engine OFF. When traffic is clear, indicate and crank the engine. Your car will bunny hop and start and you will be driving in first gear. When yoy get up to speed in first you need to quickly shift into neutral and blip the enguns revs while holding steady pressure into the second gear transmission gate and as the revs drop it will slid straight in to second. Repeat for the rest of your gears and when downshifting. It is very important to read the traffic and plan ahead. The will come a time when you will need to stop such as a traffic light, this is why you need to try to time all your movements and when you need to stop, try to stop on level ground or down hill as it makes starting off much easier on yourself and your starter motor. Key points: As you slow down shift into neutral and turn off engine once stopped. Stop on as level ground as you can. Plan your moves well in advance. When changing from one gear to another in essence you are rev matching and she'll pop right in. Use your HAZARD lights. NOTE: This method will not work if your clutch disc is worn out and slipping. When it happend to me I drove from Nowra to Campbelltown with my boat in tow. Hope this explains it. If anyone needs to know what to look out for before a failure let me know. Cheers. 10. It,s 6 years old, and yes it had surface rust where the weld sheard of.The flaw is more common than you think mate. There's alot of torque transfered through the weld combined with poor quality materials and welding techniques. I've seen it happen on various makes and models including to me once and 99.9% of the time it's either a bad slave cylinder, master cylinder or realease lever. I highly recommend people learn to drive without a clutch also I practice it atleast weakly. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  11. Get yourself some shrink tubing, a old plastic film canister (photo shops normally will give them to you). Drill a hole lengthways the same diameter as cable right through canister and lid. Feed wire through canister and shrink tube. Solder wires, cover with shrink tubing. Slide canister over join and fill with sikaflex and put lid on. Let it cure and you wont have any probs. Cheers. 13. Hi guys, My sister in law was driving her mazda when all off a sudden she had no clutch and nearly ran into the car in front. She had it towed to her mazda dealer and was told she needed a whole new clutch and would cost around $700-$800 to fix. She asked me if I could go and take a look and in 2 seconds I found this.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/04/ube2a7en.jpg[/img The car has broken its clutch release lever at the weld and I bought one and will install for her for $80. Cheers. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  14. Hi guys, I wanted a solution to the terrible tangles you get with the sabiki jigs so I made this dual purpose two piece beach/sabiki rod around ten years ago with pvc adapters that works a treat. I have the small adapter pictured and another one 3 foot longer that just slip on and off the end of the rod. I use the short adapter on the boat and the longer one if I want some casting distance. Cheers. As for baits I burley hard and have had luck using mince, squid, bread etc. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk

    IT'S NOT WORTH IT!

Thanks for the kind words guys. The pain and sadness my elderly mother and sister go through on occasions like birthdays and christmas far outweigh mine. Jessica was my sisters daughter, not my brothers it just happened that my brother would always pick his nieces and nephews up on their birthdays and take them out to do whatever they liked. That's just the way he was. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk

  17. I see people texting or on the phone on a daily basis as im sure you guys do to. It's not just that but you see people eating, drinking, reading the paper, puting make up on etc, etc, etc. When is this stupidity going to stop? My guess is never it seems to be getting worse and worse. I can tell you it doesn't get any easier for all the familys involved as I lost my brother and niece to a 18 year old driver texting 10 years ago to the day today. My niece passed away on her 8th birthday and today we could be celebrating her 18th. My brother would have been 40. R.I.P. Jessica. 26/03/1996-26/03/2004. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  18. Go easy on the bloke, the world is full of people doing and saying anything to get the public to buy a product. The thing is there, s alot of gullible people around that believe them and in the meantime they make a killing from peoples gullibility. Most of us only have our selves to blame. If company's offered us the kind of money they offer celebrities we would do the same. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  19. Hi guys, Im thinking of making up some guide posts for my trailer out of these. I want my lights up high to keep them out of the water and make backing the empty trailer easier to see. I guess my question to the guys that have had them is, are they a help or a hinderance when loading/unloading the boat? Cheers. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  20. Don't be too hard on yourself mate it happens to everyone at some stage. My favourite was pulling and installing the manual tranny in my car 3 times in the one day for something I overlooked by being in a hurry and tired...That was a great workout. Culprit being a worn pushrod on slave cylinder with matching worn clutch release lever. I could have strangled my self that day. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  21. Hi mate, If you havent already try some pool cleaner, vacuum cleaner or even the corrugated hose to empty the washing machine...you might even have some around. Cheers. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  22. O.k wasn't aware of that, I lived in eaglevale nearly 30 years ago and fished that that "duck pond" then with a mate when we were 10yrs old and use to get some massive carp, eels and even the odd turtle on bread baits. We let them all go as we didn't know any better. We would build rafts out of old timber and drums which we found around where the old squash courts used to be and camp out on the island. The pond was always full of dumped cars, rubbish, trolleys etc and we even managed to hook and pull up an old posties bike. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  23. Does anyone know the story of how the carp got there in the first place? Were they stocked? Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk

    Lazy sunday

While in the shed this arvo I decided to make a berley pot with adjustable flow control, just need to purchase some endcaps and melt some lead down. Thinking maybe making a bait trap out of this old fly catcher ive got sitting here. I love my pvc and like to reuse things instead of throwing them out. Cheers. Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
  25. Would this be suitable if lined in plastic first and would I get it out without destroying cylinders? Sent from my GT-I8730T using Tapatalk
