I manage to find the time to get out and play "flog" ( GOLF spelt backwards ) most Saturdays. to me it is more enjoyable than fishing, as there is no pressure to bring dinner home .... just to be home in time for dinner !!! I tell the wife every week that the 19th hole just continues to play tougher & tougher But it is the most enjoyable hole ....... Dougie

HERE ARE THE FACTS: TIGERS HAVE THE 2 MOST INJURY PRONE HALVES IN THE COMP. SPORTSTAB WILL RUN A MARKET ON WHO WILL SPEND THE MOST TIME ON THE SIDELINES IN SUITS ( BENJI OR MATTY HEAD ) EELS WILL MAKE THE TOP4, EVEN WITH A HALFBACK THAT WOULD RATHER DRINK SCHOONERS THAN APPLY HIMSELF FOR A FULL SEASON. COWBOYS WILL LEAD THE COMP AFTER 8 WEEKS, BUT WILL LET EVERYONE DOWN COME THE BUSINESS END OF THE SEASON. MANLY HAVE GOT NOTHING. THE DOGGIES HAVE EVEN LESS ..... ( THEY HAVEN'T EVEN GOT A CEO ) I AM AN EELS FAN, BUT THINK THE STORM HAVE TOO MUCH DEPTH & TALENT FOR ANY SIDE IN THE COMP. DOUGIE.

It is a fair dinkum squidathon in the Harbour at the moment. It is good to know you have a feed of Calamari if the fish decide to go quiet. good to see you were rewarded for choosing fishing in crap weather over a few extra hours of "shut eye" Dougie.

It's worth braving the conditions when you jag a Kingy I reckon. Heading out early tomorrow morning to try & jag one myself well done Dougie.

love to see the mighty EELS finally break the drought, after putting up with "chokers" tag for the last 10 years under Smithy. It might be a positive being underdogs & having no pressure with other more fancied teams like Dragons, Dogs & Storm taking all the focus of the press. won't hold my breath waiting for the eels though ........ have been waiting 20 years since the last premiership & have learnt my lesson about getting my hopes up & "pub talking it" over the last 5 years. if having a bet ....... I'd invest in the Dogs. Dougie.
