The basin or clareville beach is netted for children. There are a few bronze whalers around pittwater so stick to the netted waters

The only one I'd be weary about is the octopus. I've caught blue ringed octopus while squidding around rock ledges. If they bite you and you don't get prompt medical attention its all over for you

Hey mate not sure if you have bought your reel yet but a few people use finnor offshores off the beach so you could have a look at those too They have a really loud clicker too if you love your reel singing

I've never used that braid but for a few bucks more u can get daiwa j braid which is an 8strand as well. They retail for around 35ish for 150m

the saltiga overhead comes in both a left and right hand wind It was designed for slow and micro jigging too If i remember correctly it was 8kg drag and 6. something :1 ratio you can always thumb the spool if you need more drag anyway
