  1. That's is absolute gold!! Wish I could have seen that!! Although the thing is if the boat isn't on the trailer where the hell does he keep it?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  2. Awesome photos, that lightning bolt is incredible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  3. What's the name of the doco?? I'd love to watch it. Saw a satellite tagging program at the darling harbour aquarium. They caught a 3m bull shark just off neilson park in the eastern channel. Two of the sharks spent a lot of time west of the spit bridge. Makes you wonder what you drive over when travelling from fishing spot to fishing spot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  4. Stripie tuna, good for everything which is marlin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  5. Ps: also ran a humming bird fish finder which worked a treat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  6. Sydneyfisher12, mate I had exactly the same sort of tender for years just down the road from my place chained around a tree in North Harbour. It was brilliant, could launch it myself and have some awesome memories of catching kings, salmon, flatties, squid.... I used to take it out at dawn by myself and be home in time when the girlfriend just woke up and have fresh fish for breakfast. I had a little 3hp Merc on the back and it got along nicely with two of us. At the end of the day it floats so crank it up and get there! Hope you create as many happy memories which I still hold of that little boat. Tight lines buddy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  7. awesome, I've heard they're not too good on the tooth & full of bones; but if ure giving it the thumbs up I'm going to have to try it . How'd you cook it??Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  8. How'd the Samson taste? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  9. Nice Samson; fight hard. Where did you catch it?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  10. Back to back uni; easiest knot for me, find it useful that I can tie it in pitch black and in windy conditions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  11. Love catching bonnies, great fun. Good job fellas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  12. Awesome trip guys & some cracking fish. always wanted to catch a rooster it's definitely on my bucket list Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  13. Tyrnos 50 all the way, had mine for 6 years and has never missed a beat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  14. Yeah Nas, that's it!! I would love to get the entire map even just to pull off some stills to help locating the spots. Hopefully they'll make the info available to the public. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  15. Just watched on #7 news a clip about the 3D mapping they've done on the harbour; commissioned to check the shipping lanes. BUT from a fishos point of view they've found massive deep holes, numerous cars, motorbikes & sunken boats. I'd love to get my hands on it!!!!!! Anyone know how?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
  16. It helps to get all of the air out. Anything I'm going to eat and not eat fresh I vac bag. Zip lock I use for bait I'm not going to eat
  17. Second that with filleting and vac bagging. We've caught heaps of snapper in carnarvon where we vacuum bag them and they keep in the freezer for ages; we're usually still eating the fish 6 months later depending upon the haul
  18. I work in Frenchs Forest, that's really poor form. I'd love to catch the assholes in the act..."I don't know how it happened officer, he just tripped and hit his head on my fist...multiple times...how clumsy of him"
  19. Great report buddy & what a cracking haul. Sometime is can be a bit of time and water between fish, but it's moment like you had that makes it all worth it!! Bet you had a cracking smile all day...even if you did have to go to work! Keep it coming!
  20. What an epic fish, well done!! So that's what I've been doing wrong, don't target Jews, target bream and snapper then catch Jews!!!
  21. There's nothing wrong with that: you still took home an awesome feed and in my opinion one of the best species on the tooth. Well done
  22. There used to be a wreck at Quakers hat bay at beauty point, but I think I heard that maritime recently removed it
  23. A couple of hours at the start if the run out tide. Pickering is also good. Some real deep parts of the harbour up and around there and a few nice holes.
  24. Hi Mike, can't say I ever heard of a wreck in sugar loaf. We're around there often and have fished through out there and never seen anything on the sounder. The eastern side of the southern headland is a pretty good spot to soak baits for Jews and kings.
