Hey, im keen to get out to the nepean wier on saturday, but there is a slight problem!!!! I dont know how to get there... can anyone give me directions on how to get there? i will be coming from the sutherland shire.. Also is there parking there and is there a place to launch my canoe? cheers Craig

try off the beach for some great white sharks. i have heard that there are some guys up there that catch the great whites there on a regular occasion, apparently they have a game chair bolted to the back tray of their landcruiser 4x4

hey guys and girls, i was fishing just outside jb about 4 weeks ago off the rocks for blackies and i saw the most amazing thing... it was blackies feeding on the surface. they were chopping the burley that we had thrown in, now when i say i saw them i dont just mean 3-4 i mean i saw a school of 200-300 fish. it was a huge black patch of them on top of the water. so what did we do???? shallowed up out stoppers to the top of our floats and shortened our traces and threw straight into the school. the three of us all bagged out within an hour and a half so after that it was catch and release. i would say we let go just as many as we kept. then the wind came up and we headed home. it was a long walk home and it made it alot harder carrying out 60 fish.

count me in too. i hate missing out

nice set up.... but i dont see the fun in that sort of fishing... can you feel the fish fight? i think i would get bored sitting in the boat and flicking a switch when you want to wind a fish in...

where are you from fibbo? where have you been fishing for blackfish?

i used to work for a stessco dealer and found albo marine (stessco) really hard to deal with. they wouldnt even respond to their dealers. problems that i came accross were timber floors warping when left in the sun, paint peeling and the boats cracking down the center of the keel causing major water leaks. stessco wasnt very good with their warranty on their boats neither.

yeah good call dave... it was crazy out there. especially when the big cruisers come through, they dont slow down for anybody.

hey everyone. anyone catch any jewies under captain cook bridge on saturday night? i was out there along with the other 25-30 boats. it was packed... I managed to boat a nice little 80 cm jew.. it was alot of fun as i caught him on my little light rod using a shimano sustain 2500 spooled with 4 lb braid. it took me about 20 minutes to land the little sucker. all i could think about was the big TWANG!!! and then winding in nothing but a bit of frayed braid haha. i was using a 2/0 hook with a live nipper as bait. i did get some photos on my phone but it was too dark and didnt turn out too well. looking forward to getting out there again on the next full moon.

Bashir as a marine mechanic i see these problems on a weekly basis. My advise to everyone..... FLUSH YOUR ENGINES!!!!

wow not much you can do then. maybe send the council the repair bill when your engine turns into a big salt ball....

not flushing your outboard with fresh water can cause all sorts of problems due to salt build up and corrosion in cooling passages. Are you still allowed to fill up buckets and tubs with grade 4 restrictions? if so find a large tub that you can fill with fresh water and submerge the lower leg of your outboard in it and then you can flush fresh water through it by running your engine that way. this is a good method for flushing your engine to avoid problems down the track.

i fished a few of my favourite land based spots around jb on the weekend. it was very quiet. fished both days and ended up with only 1 legal blackfish and a few under size drummer. was very poor fishing but

where are the best areas to fish for bass around the sydney and wollongong areas. you dont have to give too much away about your secret spots As i am new to bass fishing i just need to be pointed in the right direction.

Any one getting into the bass fishing this season? I have never tried it but im keen to give it a go.
