I'm thinking about getting a flick stick to keep handy for when I can't be bothered getting the boat out. I am thinking about something in the range of a 6'6'' and 2-5 kg. Is this what others use?

I got some 5" Gulp Jerk shads for my birthday and was wondering how you use them. Do you cast and retrieve while twitching the rod like you do with the other sps?

For that rod and price range I would go for a 2500 Sienna which you should be able to get for around $70

I am interested in having a go for blackfish as it will be easier to go to the river for few hours than to get the boat out and was wondering what type of set up (ie rod, reel, line and hooks) that I will need. Also what type of weed do I need and where do you get it.

How long did it take you to get to the bay?

Another option is to take the covers off the lights and see which colour cable operates what light.

I just drill through the carpet normally and then cut the carpet strands from the drill bit with a stanley knife.

I went out in Botany Bay yesterday after not using the boat since the end of January. When we first started every now and then (maybe 4 to 6 times in total) the no oil and hot warning lights would give one quick beep and the lights would come on for a second and then go out. There motor was running fine, there was plenty of oil in the tank (the bulb was rock hard) and there was plenty of water comming out of the tell tale. Because of this we stayed around the runway and after a while it stopped doing this. The motor is an oil injected 40hp Johnson, and I was wondering whether there is something wrong or whether this was because we hadn't used the boat for a while?

I hope to get out tomorrow (along with everyone else!) for the first time in ages and was wondering whether the kings were still around in Botany Bay?

Has the desalination plant pipe works made any difference to the Kyeemagh boat ramp?

I got an orange plastic horn from one of those chain type tackle stores for less than 10 bucks that makes a hell of a noise!

I have seen the SE 300 for $109, PM me if you want to know where. I will be interested to hear if it makes much difference as I have been tossing up for quite a while now whether to get one.

Also the SE 200 does not fit on motors with cavitation plates over 5 inches wide.

I'd be worried about how long they had been sitting there in the sun!
