Yes, There is a pipi bed there... I have been fishing there with my grandfather since i was in nappy's... Good spot for Bream, Flattie's and school Jew. Have also run into many schools of Hammerheads at this spot for a bit of Fun. I know the exact spot but hard to describe... Look for a Huge dead Gum tree thats fallen into the water, then drive out far enough with your thumb out in front of you and line up Lion Island and Flint and steel headland so its a thumb width apart... Hope this makes sense... Once you have those coordinates drop your anchor and you will be fishing the pipi bed... Live Nippers seem to be the best bait for this spot in my 25 years fishing here... There are heeps of these little critters in Vanuatu... Had a couple fly into the tinnie i was fishing out of ! Certainly freeked me out as it was the first time i had seen anything like them !

My Experience in the harbour has been very mixed.... Try down near Mcmahons pt... A secret recipe of raw chicken pieces coated in that kraft fake parmesen cheese is always a good recipe that has yielded me some monster bream... Usually this will produce a couple of fish each spot and then i will move 50 - 100 metres or so... Just remember you need to find the fish.... They won't come to you... Main line to leader i use a surgeons... Leader to Jig Head i use a 5 turn back thru the eye number... not sure what its called... or a double loop.. NickFish

Hi All, I am fairly new to this so be kind.... After fishing the Hawkesbury for the past 20 years and 1 Jewie to date. Can anyone clarify that they bight when the pressure system is high ? or low ? Just got back from a trip up in Bathurst Island... 5 of us caught just under 800 Fish in 3 and a half days. Heaps of big Barra... A 96cm golden snapper a six foot hammer head and yes my second ever Jewie.. Would love to attend the Jew social... will need to consult the diary... Cheers NickFish....
