  1. Nope, Hume weir is classified as Victorian Water. I needed a NSW fishing license to catch my cod.
  2. Nope not the Snowy. The house is in Victoria, but the boats are in NSW. Does that help. Here's a fish I got there.
  3. You're allowed to have outboards on your boat in Wivenhoe just not permitted to run them unless you are releasing fish. The first pic is Tulungra Cliffs right at the top of Wivenhoe, very rarely visited, and top water. This one is the water tower for Esk township. About 15km's from the ramp.
  4. Nah I let the Barra go. Oh you mean the dam, nope further south. Here's another view.
  5. Nope, but dam (excuse pun) close here's another view
  6. Nope, further south Faust looks like this, more trees standing and smaller trees:
  7. These may also help http://www.marine-electronics.net/techarti...y_faq/b_faq.htm http://www.blacklakeny.com/battery.html http://www.ibsa.com/www_2001/content/faqs/...ce/charging.htm
  8. http://www.uuhome.de/william.darden/carfaq.htm look here. 4 amp Charger is a bit small, you should go to at least 10amp for a deep cycle.
  9. I just got another one for 'leccy dams and the river. 'tis a Quintrex 360 Jap export model. Better pics to come.
  10. Over the side is definately the go Rick. You you stick it out the back it is too hard to hook up you line to the release clip. I have mine mounted so that everything is close at hand from the drivers seat. The Aftco clips are one of the best. Have it a few inches above the bomb, so you can leave the bomb hang in the water when you change rigs. That way, the bomb soesn't swing around and tangle up, or worse still smack the side of you hull. I usually mount my rod behind the downrigger. Dunno why, but it seems good for me. There is an article on SF that I wrote a couple of years ago. All the pics are gone now but the words are still there. My rigger isn't as flash as your's but this pic shows the set-up. Bright bomb is good for freshwater, fish your lure about a metre behind it.
  11. i've gotta say that after using the X35 Matrix at the Hinze Bass comp over the weekend, I've very impressed. It's probably the best Humminbird I've used, and easily picked up fish and a thermocline at 60'. I get to try a new X97 colour job this weekend, and from what I've heard they are the ducks nuts.
  12. I believe that you will soon be able to register with Humminbird and they will email you when upgrades are available. I've been playing with an X35 Matrix, and I'll be using one this weekend and the Bass Electric Convention at Hinze. They look pretty good, and the X37 finally has them with a quality sounder at a competitive price.
  13. Looking at the Brissy Boat Show last week, there is less than $100 difference between the 370 Traveller and the 385 Explorer. Explorer is a much better boat, unless you need to car top it, but then again I saw a 400 Hornet Trophy on top of a 4WD the other day.
  14. From memory, it's a fairly hard crawl from the Power Boat Club to the Caravan Park up the road. Sad memories of the first couple of Lure and Fly Shoot-outs. Trying to crawl back to the tent carrying a 40 litre Evacool. Have they rubberised that road yet? I'm sure Pete Flynn was going to arrange it. :plonk: :plonk: :plonk: :grogon: :grogon: :grogon:
  15. The latest Dolphins, with the work stand, offer an excellent narrow beam. A huge improvement on the old models.
