  1. Hi Tulz, I was talking to a couple of locals today in the local Tackle shop, they fish for nothing but Jewies, they told me they haven't had much luck of late, but that doesn't mean you wont when you get here. Good luck mate........
  2. Durras is fishing well, i managed a 42cm bream there a few weeks ago, well done L H.
  3. There are a few great places for squid in the Bay, and surrounding areas, all you have to do is put in the effort. Fantastic effort buy the young fella too........
  4. G'day pomey, if you have time Durras is going well for bream and flatties, unfortunately I work this weekend so I won't get out for a fish. Cheers, Anthony..............
  5. I went out off Maloneys Beach last Saturday and Sunday, out of the dozen or so Flattys landed in the boat only 2 were keepers (on sat arvo) left them in the live tank and released them for the next time I'm hungry, Sunday morning however was a different story, dozens of under size fish all in between 30cm and 35cm. All caught on dead prawns and squid.. Still a great couple of days out though..
  6. Well done gents, I've been fishing Mallacoota for the last ten or so years and have seen some huge crocs caught, was fishing next to a young fella one afternoon (he was about 13 or 14) with one of those $13 ***** special outfits, all of sudden he was calling out to his dad to come and help, the flattie he landed was 99cm long, I know coz I measured it. I really could have strangled the little bloke at the time, he didn't have a clue what he was doing, and later told me it was the second fish he had ever caught. Well done again fellas....................
  7. Flatties and bream are on the go at Durras, would love to join you, but alas committed elsewhere............
  8. Hello everyone, my name is Anthony, I now live on the beautiful south coast at Maloneys Beach just out of Batemans Bay for those who don't know, was born and bred in the Northern Territory, was always out on the barra up north, then family committment took me to the dark and dreary state of Victoria (no offence to anyone) where I spent a few years chasing Murray Cod. Now very much enjoying the south coast, have a little 1970 3.9 quinny that has been in the family for a long time, and has never let me down, that is always seen just outside Maloneys nearly every other weekend, mainly targeting Flatty and whatever else grabs my hook, also don't mind a feed of squid, but please don't tell anyone, apparently it's a secret here. That about covers the very short story of me, hope to get to know most you, will most likely sit in the back ground for a while, then jump in the deep end. looking for forward to the education you guys and girl will give me. Cheers................
