a jew will feed any time obviously to keep their stomachs satisfied. the larger runs in the water enable the jew to ambush there prey alot easier therefore they use this to there advantage which therefore increases your chances of getting one. us knowing this will then help us persue the jews with the most precision and less time invested. Greg Joyes can work it out mate trust me. he is a seasoned jew fisho who takes people out, not necessarily gives away all his jewfish secrets on jewfish secrets.

more big jew are caught during the day then night. the moon light has nothing to do with it. its the water run that comes with the bigger tides generally @ night the phosphorous is out of control and little jew caught

that squid does look the goods. how much per kg? where is caught from?

depends what your fishing for mate. i fish for jew and only fish the tides the times are pretty much irrelivant(to a certain extent) i love fishing a early morning or late arvo run in but if the tides don t coincide with those times it really doesn t matter

look champ with out a doubt your drag has to be set in strike so that when it hits your bait the hook will engage. that drag setting should almost be your fighting drag( only adjust if need be). there is no need to let em run anyway all it does is increase the fishes chance of spitting the bait. good luck mate

the weights got me buggered but doesn t matter. fished the run in this evening for one bronzie around a metre, got one other run but that was it. disappointing but there is always another day

she was on the skinnier side whilst the smaller one was fat as. definately in the teens i suspect

hey fellas headed out this morning for a quick 3 hour stint on the river. from word go i new we were going to have a very interesting day. got to the boat ramp and my motor was running like a dog, infact it was running at 1/3 of its usual power. anyway we soldiered on in hope of jagging an early morning jew. finally after a long short ride we got to our spot which was engulfed by tailor, decided to spin a couple up and chuck em down for livies. after our first coffees not much seemed to be happening all baits untouched, me thinking weird but it wasn t to long before i hear the beautiful noise of braid screaming through the 6500 i pick up the rod and all goes slack. dam. 1 minute later and bang the squid goes off after decent fight up comes our first Jew of the year. although not massive defintely increased our hopes for a succesful session. Anyways after that not much happened the tide had finished and we decided enoughs enough so we packed up. only problem being so did the engine spewin i spend the next hour and half trying to work out what was wrong, got her started but gee running at 10%. during the break we decided we will now fish another tide so off to our second spot which you can see in the pic we were there no longer than 5 minutes and one of my 6500 go off then slack again. spewin. i was ready to throw the towel in but no sooner and i hear another rod going off, this time the fish was going know where and we now boated our second jew in 4 hours. enough was said and us happy fellas decided to call it a day. the fish were not weighed but the larger one was 133cm any estimates?

great fish guys. i fished terrigal last weekend for zip in 19-20 degree water. very disappointing. anyway great stuff

if you ever head out to brooklyn the antique shop sometimes sells em live, otherwise very very fresh. on the other hand not to sure of the name of the shop but a fishing shop on lyons rd drummoyne sometimes has live prawns.

he lost one set up after flipping it. goodbye all his gear. The jetski mob offered a free jetski to whoever gets a marlin on one they didn t live up to there promise but i guess he can boast that he got one from it
