I am heading to Port Macquarie shortly and was in need of some help. I want to try and fish outside for snapper. Just wondering whether anyone would have some generic GPS marks that could help me as a starter. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. PM me if you like

Prop size seems ok, maybe drop the motor on hole spot. You should get better holeshot but a lower top speed by about a knot or two.

Looking at upgrading to a 24 volt minn Kota. Going to run two 12 volt batteries. Just wondering whether I will need a 24 volt battery charger or will a 12 volt do. Both are the same type, age, condition and capacity of battery. Also wondering whether it would be OK to charge them and leave them on trickle charge together?

Few other things then:
1. Is your hull clean like new? This creates drag if not
2. Is the motor serviced and the oil is at the right amount?
3. Have they changed the plugs lately and did they fit the correct plug number?

Agree with SquidMarks. Try getting some 100lb mono line and clear out the speedo inlet hole. It is in front of the dog leg of the motor. There maybe a small price of junk in the inlet so less water passes through. Make sure when you do this you get the line all the way to the bottom of the motor cause there is a 90 degree turn about 10cm into the motor. Good luck

I too have a 450. Fished in shallows for whiting, off to the 12 mile, gone for Marlin, kings. Very versatile boat. I have a yammie 60 four stroke and it does 32 knots.

You can also have a dimmer switch on LED lights. This should ensure you don't go blind but still can see everything perfectly. Here is my boat

Best to go with a skid trailer rather than a roller one. Try looking up some of the more popular boat trailer brands and you can see what is available.
