Sienna 2500. Put 10lb power pro braid on it and you won't go wrong
-
I been on a mates 90 e-tec plenty of times. I can definitely say there was no smoke from the motor. However at idle you can smell the burning of oil. I have had three major brand four strokes and can say that they were all less smelly than the two stroke.
-
The rev, I got a top Ender 450 and weigh 55kg. It has a 60 four stroke and is easy to handle. Difference between the renegade and top Ender is the top Ender comes with the transom pod standard

A Quintrex dealer will have the part in stock for sure (my boat is a Quintrex). I won't name which one due to site rules.

Here is my pick up that simply screws onto the live well pump and cost $8

All you need now is a pick up for your live well tank. Here is a photo of mine

I use a Shimano Anarchy PE5, great rod especially on your back
-
Shimano tk3 5-10kg would be a good one too if you want something strong. I have two, if you are interested I would sell you one.

Get a 90HP, whether a 2 or 4 stroke.

Terrible news. I have a VHF Antenna that I just upgraded on my boat . If you want it you can have it for free, just PM me. It came off a GME 600 VHF, but should suit all GME radios.

Two dollar tooth paste worked well for me

I got a 55lb on a 4.5 quinnie. I would prefer an 80lb when in a bit of a current and wind. Only issue is that they may only come in 24 volt

Here is a chance to have your say on boat safety rules. I am not sure whether attaching a safety lanyard to vessels under 4.8m decreases accidents or could cause more (in the event it is activated at speed by accident).
The link is below for members to read and/or have a say. Not sure if the link is allowed, but if not can administration delete my message please, no harm meant to site

I am definitely getting a better reading at low speeds. I'll try another lowering to the point it rooster tails.

Hi Raiders,
I have been adjusting my transducer position and settings from time to time to ensure that at speed, being 20 to 30 knots I have pixels on the screen to show the bottom. Currently I can get some pixels using the split screen sonar on 200htz but the 83htz is terrible, I am luck to see anything on the screen. I have a Quintrex Top Ender, and I have mounted the transducer in between the ribs of the hull. The Sounder I have is a Humminbird 798cisi
I have:
1. adjusted the sensitivity
2. played with the contrast
3. restored factory settings
4. lowered the transducer
5. pointed the transducer slightly forward
I have been on the you tube channels and read the many forums. Just seeing if there is a chance someone can pick up what I am doing wrong. Mind you it has been to a dealer twice with no result which is a bit frustrating. I have spoken to the Humminbird support (very helpful) who also stated that the 83htz should show a better picture than the 200htz, I am experiencing the opposite. I am using it between 8 and 35 metres of water (shallow saltwater). Happy to give the details of the settings of the sounder. If its easier to talk over the phone, just PM me and I will send you my number.
I have attached the photos below for people to see my set up. I live in Ryde, so if anyone has a chance to see it or show what I am doing wrong on the water it would be greatly appreciated. If you cant, and can let me kow your thoughts it would be just as good. As you can imagine, I am scratching my hair off my head just typing this email.
Appreciate any help please.

Is it possible that you may have a leak, either from the bungs, a live well or at worst a crack somewhere?
-
Your right apologies, I use Daiwa PE Sensor braid and its great. Thin, strong and lasts a long time
-
I personally don't think they need a bigger front platform. They just need to design and weld the battery holder to size. In terms of cost, you have a contract with barkleys to have a battery mounted at the front. There should not be any further cost and stand your ground. Otherwise another dealer may be able to help you with a new boat, maybe huetts on this very site

Berkeley vanish, it good enough over the expensive stuff
-
Best boat. Make sure the battery well will be large enough for the size of battery you want. These boats are very smooth on the water and the Yammi is a gem. All the best

Thanks heaps raiders! Will be back for a fish report, I hope

Thanks wizza for the info. What size jigs do you recommend as a starter?

Hi raiders,
I am heading to foster without my boat for the coming long weekend. Plan is to do a session or two fishing. I had a look at Google and it looks squiddy at the swimming pool, Jewie at the break wall and beaches. I wouldn't mind even targeting whitting on poppers too.
I never been to foster before, just wondering if anyone can give me some tips, even by PM. Not after spot X just
Thanks for any help.

Anderson plugs work very well. I run a 55lb minkota and I have zero issues with the 50amp andersons.
