Pressure?????? Like a four tonne brick falling on me LOL. I have spent alot of money and time trying to get one, but I get busted off or they just arent interested. Luck of the day I guess, but I have caught three two years ago. Ill pesist cause I know one day Ill find a school of them and ill be able to go home with a sore back trying to pull them up!!!! Hello Raiders, Well i finally got my brand new boat in the water this morning. Headed out from Tunks Park at 5am this morning, only to see another raider boat taking off at the same time. I headed to the spit in Search for squid (failed), however things turned good at Balmoral. Well, squid for Kings, NO KINGS, so Ill practice this once again next weekend. Found a great ball of fish on the way outside of quarantine, but no action from the kings, so I moved on. Went to Sow and Pigs for yakkas then for a different bait. So Here I am will a million other boats (well not quite that many) going for these yakkas and wooshkaa!!! I get a hit on a tiny hook. I pulled up a trevally!!! And then it was on! We caught about 8 of them before we called it quits and headed for Kings again around the markers Once again no King for the Xmas table, now I got some explaining at home when there isnt one on the table Anyway, hope to see you all on the water at one stage. Good work kelvin. days like today I just stay home and wait for the better ones. I never caught a King on strips but I just imagine that the same 9/0 hook at the end will do the trick. has anyone figured out why Kings attack a squid strip over whole squid???? This is a question that has puzzled me for years!!!! Anyhow, congratulations Kelvin on the catch. Mark

Excellent Catch mate, looks like a bad days fishing turned into a fantastic one. Looks like the weather this week is turning for the worse. Hope to be out in MH on the weekend for some Kings too!!!!

Mate you Lucky Kelvin you have the sport down packed. Im going to try this Middle Head this Saturday coming for Kings. Buying a Downrigger on Thrusday. Do you have any spots in Middle Harbour which are worth trying for the first King in 2006?

Hi Guys, Well first post ever so here goes I might just get it all wrong. I just bught myself a boat cause all I ever hear about is KINGS KINGS KINGS. So I went to La Perouse over the weekend for Squid. And MY DAD, not me, got a monsta!!! Photo below : I hear Kelvin has been doing well in Middle Harbour, but Im not familiar with where to troll these Squid Monsters I have encountered !!! Any help will be good. i should be out there this Saturday to give it a go, so expect another report sometime soon. I want to learn about these oversize Yellowtails so any help would be wonderful with spots in middle harbour to troll green eyed monsters! Hope to meet some fellow raiders as I venture out there this summer. Cheers guy, hope you like the squid. Info on it is basically this.
