  1. http://www.norre.dk/linecapacity.html handy tool found in my travels. The 2 different measurements was the confusing aspect.
  2. Fireline line capacity 315m/0.20mm Line capacity 190m/0.35mm and that is in the other languages
  3. G'day people, Just got an Abu Garcia Soron STX 60 and am trying to work out how much 30lb braid I can put on it to see whether I should swap it for a STX70 instead. Line capacity is listed at 250m/6kg but is that mono or braid, thanks for your help.
  4. Not hard to buy a $5 fishing licence when your friends go out. I see the licence you proposing causing all sorts of extra fee increases tacked on
  5. Not sure that eagle vale pond is allowed to be fished
  6. Have more competitions and people will target catching them. It won't be the solution but it would help.
  7. Spent a lot on fishing gear the last couple of months so the $64 price tag attracted me most
  8. G'day people, Been looking for a light plastics rod to match to my Soron 2000 9 (6lb braid) as it currently has a 3-5kg Soron rod on it which is probably a bit heavy for breaming and flathead chasing on the flats.. Seen the above rod at half price at a certain daily Shimano discount site. Looks about right for the light stuff but thought I would get some opinions on it as there are no reviews around. PM me if you want the site to get yourself one, thanks.
  9. I'm much happier with what I have pulled from the bay compared to hacking
  10. Along the 1st runway launching at forshaw rd
  11. Caught a nice little catch of fish today in one location next to the airport runway. Between a red and a black marker about 300m from the Foreshaw boat ramp. Too choppy for my mates boat to go further so we stayed there for about 6 hours and caught about 30 fish with only the 4 keepers below. Caught flounder, tailor, snapper, bream as well as the below. most were close to keepers and the sounder was going off with some big marks. Great day considering we were pretty much isolated to one area.
  12. Went out again today and everything was fine until the wiring went haywire. Can't even explain what happened. Had to paddle 100m to the jetty. It could have been a lot worst.
  13. Thanks for advice. Found the issue is some faulty wiring connected to the stereo (who would have thought?) as soon as I disconnected it the engine started first go.
  14. G'day People, Went out 2 weeks ago on the Nepean and had no issues with the motor. Got back home and went to flush it out and it wouldn't turn over just a clicking noise. Jump started the motor via my car and it started 1st go. Took both batteries out (spare wasn't working as well) and charged them up. Still same issue of just the clicking or no noise at all. Other powered items on the boat work. Went out and bought a new battery (it was due) and still wouldn't turn over. Jump started again and no issues. Any suggestions of the problem would be much appreciated.
  15. G'day People, Newbie here trying to be useful. If you have an apple product there is a free magazine you can subscribe to in newstand called fish downunder. Its a magazine that comes out monthly with videos, tackle, articles etc but the magic word is it's free.
  16. Got about 30 baby fish today at port hacking. 2 whiting that we're 1cm off keepers but the rest weren't even close. Was disappointed for my 1st trip to port hacking but I don't know the area so it is expected. Looks like you had a good day though.
  17. G'day people, just starting to get into fishing. Haven't used lures before so am trying to learn what goes where to catch what. Live in camden so want to find fishing spots within an hour of me. Love taking the boat out a 4.7m runabout.
