Headed out this morning around 7am and dropped anchor to get a few yakkas with plenty of burley! Lost count of how many I hooked up. Also managed to pull quite a few tailor in the process. I also through a pilchard on a gang hook over while I was catching livies and ended up getting a nice 42cm flatty. Sorry no pics this time. I was just happy to catch a fish.
The last 2 weeks all I have caught has been 2 shovel noses.Anyway, I had plenty of live ones onboard but even with changing the water every half an hour they were dying off pretty fast. Didn't really matter anyway as I didn't end up catching anything else. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some tips on a live set up. What weight, line, should I use floats/balloons etc.
At least I had a nice feed of crumbed tailor and flathead. Gotta remember to take photos before I clean them!!
