    thanks mate yeah we were on the water by 4am we started at the runway and worked our way down towards towra. all fish were caught on peeled prawns and nippers

    hey fellas decided to give the harbour a miss with all the boat traffic due to the queen mary and that coming in. so took a friend out to botany bay to see if we could get her onto some fish. fished the run up tide for bream and had a cracker of a morning. she had fun pulling em in and i had fun baiting up her hook. all up we took home 8 bream including a pb bream for me at 39cm great fun was had cheers patrick

  4. hey guys just after some advice on lowering a car that will be used for towing my boat around. its a commodore and will be dropped down about 6cm lower then standard does anyone tow with a lowered car or know if i would come into any problems with doing this cheers patrick

  11. well i just got back from the local tackle store and i think i've found my gt buster. a 15kg shimano backbone with a spheros 8000 with upgraded drag running 50lb braid. how does that sound guys
  12. thanks guy at the moment i have a 7'6" shimano snapper raider 5-8kg matched with a symetre 4000. was thinking of upgrading to a stradic 4000 with 20lb braid do you think this would do the job or will i be a little under gunned

  14. hey guys will be heading up to the whitsundays in april for a week long fishing trip. will be targeting the usual fish like gt's, coral trout etc. i have my trolling gear and reef gear already but would like a nice spinning outfit that will handle these fish. mainly for casting poppers and lures. any ideas on rod and real that would be suitable for casting big lures and have plenty of power. cheers patrick

  17. hey guys been invited on a fishing trip to the whitsundays for a week in april. just wondering if anybody has fished there before and what to expect. ie fish species, gear, lures we will be on a boat the whole trip cheers guys

  19. thanks stevo i down rigged a slimy early morning. did a few runs but no takers so went to get a feed
  20. went out into the bay this morning for a quick session. started off near the third runway and made my way through towards towra. end result 3 bream 2 trevs 1 flattie 1 occy fun little session. sorry bout crappy photo was way too hot and tired by the end of the day.
  21. Wind:N/NE 10/15 knots will be giving botany a go in the morning.
  22. mate i've seen them used of the beach for salmon, they do work
  23. be carefull as your driving down there. there were a lot of police targeting speeding today and most likely be in the area tomorrow
