  1. Have seen a few at work with rust under the tailgate seal and minor rust around the front suspension towers but not a bad drive for the bucks. Daz
  2. Great fish AndyMac. I tried spinning for Sambos of Mona yesterday but no luck; Might be time to try Whale by the looks of your catch. ps. I like smoking salmon too but i find them hard to roll.
  3. What a great feed. Good to see the lake producing good fish like that. Where did you get the weed?
  4. Well done BobFish, and for you guys threatening to fish pittwater, just get out there and do it. Last weekend was just beautiful out there with not too many boats around. I reckon this is the best time of year to be on the water: not too hot and the winds are down, Oh and by the way, I can organise a very tidy "rental" Regards Darren
  5. I fitted one of those to my 1997 quitrex 455 escape by using a jig saw (in amatuer hands) and the result was great. It did not drag when planeing, and was easily removed for kid time, but I can appreciate your apprehension at cutting bloody big hole your baby. Maybe get your local ally welder to make a plug for the hole if you really thik you need it when not fishing, or get the family to board to board from the other side.
  6. I'm not sure about this, but I think the first letter of the HIN number is the manufacturers designation ie. T is for Telwater industries (Quintrex & Stacer). Maybe of some help. Regards Darren
  7. Well Pete, we might have to invest in a pair of chainmail waders for the next whiting session.
  8. Hope there's room for one more, if so count me in Regards Darren

    Buoyancy Foam

The melting effect you mention could be from petrol, which will destroy styrene foam. Thats the normal method of floatation, but you can buy foam which is not affected by fuel; All I know is that when a boat is built to survey standard they use "green foam" which is not affected by fuel. I don't know where you get it but try 'grippy rubber' at Rydalmere.
  10. Gday to all fishraiders, I'm Darren from trailerboathire.com.au. I just wanted to let you know that I still have boats available for the Kingfish social on 21/1/07, so those of you with a boat license but no boat, round up another one or two members and get amongst them. Check out the boats on www.trailerboathire.com.au and remember that if you are a fishraider member I will throw in a downrigger (scotty lake troller) and a fishfinder at no extra cost. Looking forward to meeting a few of you at the social, Regards Darren
