  1. Yes, it is definitely a mixture of fuel and motor oil as the colour of my 2 stroke outboard oil is red. I just received the service manual 5 minutes ago. I will have more confident to open up the middle section cover of outboard with the book on side. I will check the power head area as what u said. let u know soon the result. Thanx, Phil
  2. Now this make me more confuse after reading the website. So the floatation used for my boat is polystyrene but it said polyurethane is for marine buoyancy as well and is chemical resistant. Is that mean I should buy polyurethane instead of polystyrene?
  3. Oh i c. I think I still have some 2 part epoxy left for joining granite. I will try tomorrow Thanx. Phil
  4. Thanx to all. I'm still waiting for my outboard service manual to be delivered. Unbelievable that it takes almost 3 weeks to be delivered from States to Australia but should receive it very soon. Probably early this coming week. I'm totally not mechanical minded so definitely have to wait for the service manual. I even have no idea how to disassemble the bottom cover of out board. However, really happy to have so many gurus in this forum. I want to bring my boat to be serviced by Pro but my current financial position would not allow me so really count on u ppl. Thanx. Phil
  5. Is there anyway u can join the polystyrene together? I tried liquid nail and it melts the foam. Thanx for any advice. Cheers, Phil P.S. Sorry for asking too many question as I'm new to boating at all.
  6. Hi Gazza, Can u pm me for the address of foam supplier? Also the blue stuff u mentioned won't melt with gasoline? Are those blue stuff more expensive? Do they have foam with at least 300mm thickness? Regarding to the hot wire cutter, I've never seen it before and I will try to google it and see if i can buy a ready one instead. Thanx and Cheers, Phil

  15. Rusting on galvanised steel Package instruction Hi Billfisher, Sounds like u are as expert as chemist. Can u help me on this galvanic corrosion problem? Recently, I changed the rubbing strip on my trailer using steel rivets. The rivet grip the rubber abd the galvanised steel component of the trailer. However, within 2 weeks the steel rivets totally corroded but i really carefully selected the right rivet to use as recommended by the package instruction. The brand of rivets is Zenith and bought them from Bunnings. So which rivet ahould i use? Steel, aluminium or stainless? Pls be noted that I always flush my trailer with tap water after finish my boating session.

I didn't empty the tank and took out what left behind coz don't have big container to transfer the petrol and also don't know how to take out the shits.
