  1. I know what you mean . We have three of Australia's best river, bay and harbour and we take it for granted. Also the yakkas were amazing for burley we went out again today I'll talk about it in the report I'll post today or tomorrow
  2. Ye ill mush em up mix them with bread pillies. Some pellets and the fish love it. At least thats what ive found Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Yes hopefully we do. We are planning to hit botany this sunday so we will hopefully catch a good feed.
  4. We got in the water at 6am and headed to the sticks. After one hour we had about 20 undersize pinkies and we decided to move. Moved to clifton gardens and there was more of the same. After two hours we had about 30 yakkas 10 kept live and others kept for burley next Sunday. We then moved to balmoral and stayed there for about an hour. Very disappointing as there was no bites after and hour. We weren't even baited 1 time. We also tried flicking plastics but nothing. Another move. We went to a point after spit bridge and there was one boat. We had seen him pull up a bream and 2 kingies in 10 minutes but be still had nothing. An hour went past and we had 1 whiting at 30cm. Another move, we went closer to the bridge.next to the houses. There was some action there. We picked up a nice 35cm bream but after 2 hours we had only pulled up pinkies and constantly bated. We were picking up the lines a fortunately I was last to bring in. I took 1 wind and the rod bent. I nice fight taking me around the boat a couple times. A nice 30cm snapper. We had moved once again to clifton gardens to fish high tide. Again the yakkas appeared at 3pm which was weird. After another hour there not 1 size fish. Overall we had a total of 34 yakkas 1 whitting 1 bream and 1 snapper. A beautiful clear day with nice company. Rgds youngfella
  5. Great to hear that there's a bit of kingy action in the bay
  6. Ye hopefully I'll get it next time and there should be lots coming during the summer
  7. Once again decided to head out with the kayaks as the boat is at the doctors. Decided that George's was a nice place for a feed. Launched at 7 from oatley ramp (late because low tide was at 9:30 so planned on staying late) and trolled a plastic to the bridge on the right around the corner. We moved further down after having no luck. After 10 seconds we were having bites . After 1 drift I had a 16cm bream ( with a new bait for me, steak) I went back up to the beginning of the drift and started again. I got a big bite. It was a flatty. I brought it up to the kayak went to unhook the net and a massive 45-55cm flatty broke the 17lb braid. I had no luck for another 4 hours trying other spots when I returned the the drift spot again. Constantly being baited but no takers. I then had a 18cm bream on a hand line ( not even noticing it was there until I brought it in). For the first time ever my dad had caught more fish than me on the kayaks. He had 3 nice bream a whitting and a flounder. He also lost 3 crabs as he couldn't manage to get the net underneath them. Overall i would rate this as the best kayak trip I've had so far and we would of had over 30 caught if we were on the boat ( because the current was so strong).
  8. At least there was nice whether. Not to hot not to cold and the water was pretty flat most of the day.
  9. Dad and I decided it was time to get the fishing season underway after 9 months. Unfortunately the boat is still down so our only choice were the kayaks. We launched at 5:30am from dolls point. First stop was the red marker half way between towra point and dolls point. After 1 cast I had caught a little snapper. Stayed there for another hour only to be baited. U decided to move down to towra. After a 20-30 min paddle i finally got there. Again after the first cast as fish. A 22cm tarwine. Nothing had happened for about 30mins so I decided it was time for some shut eye. As soon as I put my hat over my head the rod stated screaming. It was a 5 minute fight and I was very lucky to bring it up as it did 30circle around the kayak tangling in 2 other line. It was a nice 32cm travelly. Again no action for 30 mins when something finally bit. It was another 22cm tarwine. Another move was in need and the place to be was at this green marker with 6 boats around it. After an hour there I had lost all my bait only bringing a small flatty and a nice flounder. Overall it was an amazing day. Hot and the water was flat. The uv was also high and I ended up getting really burnt even though I applied sunscreen two times.
  10. Awesome day on the water mate . Must if been a great day !!!

  14. Hey guys Justly wanted to get some good king spots in the sounder/navigator before the summer starts. Any coordinates that worked well last year catching legal kings would be greatly appreciated
  15. Thats ment to be 50-100m sorry also i thought i had a picture included that would make it clearer but its the side that is closest to the clifton gardens beach
  16. We usually fish 501-100 metres on the left side of the naval base jetty thing. There we jet our fish with a consistant trail of burley. Where abouts is the spot u talking about for kings?
  17. Ye i got a 5.2m aluminium boat. Last year and early this year we sort of moved into the harbour a bit more cause botany is dead. My favourite spot last year was infact clifton gardens were we got two nice kings and had a 20 min battle and got busted off. This is most likely because he dived down or because we were using bring gear. By the way the two kings we got and the one that busted off were infact caught from peeled prawns. I remember one night we went down to clifton and caught a squid. We had put that outa live from the time 10pm-9am and we got nothing. Ive heard about old mans hat and that its good for kings but the old man has gone out there a couple time with mates and only pulled up one king. South head wasnt to great maybe we were in the wrong depth also outside of the heads but in between north and south head. These two spots produced undersized reds and 15-35 cm flaties. My mate has told me that he hit 15 kings down at goat island fishing the structures of course only taking 2 home and releasing the rest. So any tips on what depth and which side of the island is good for king also ive read there are monster bream there 40-50cm. Thanks for the help guys and if you have any more tips for clifton south/north head bare island and middle head would be greatly appreciated. Thx again and good luck with your fishing!!!
  18. Ok thx mate ill try that sometime later today

  20. Hey guys I'm a new member sorry about the name made if when I was younger. Just wandering where some good spots are in the harbour for both kings and Jews . Usually fish in botany but it's died down completely in the past couple years. At the moment i only know I or two spots in the harbour. The most successful for me being down at the naval base. So yea any advice on spots would be greatly appreciated
