  1. Cheers mate very helpful reply. The 2004 16 certate weighs 230g would this be better then the 1003 which weighs 205 do you think. Thanks again for the reply.
  2. Definitely ditch those prawns, at least you got onto some fish in the end, always better than a doughnut.
  3. Hey guys, so i am getting a nitro vapor 6'6 rod for chasing bream mainly on plastics but a few hard bodies every now and then. Was wondering what reel would suit best. I am thinking a 1000 daiwa certate 2016 model or a 2004 daiwa luvius. I have heard they are tip heavy so maybe the extra weight of the certate to balance. What would you choose and if anyone has this rod what do you pair it with and how do you rate the rod. Thanks in advance for any replies, Daniel.
  4. will have to go have a look at those on special stump jumpers and i have heard purple many times so that shall definitely be on the cards. Bait will also be taken so thank you all for the ongoing replies. Appreciate it.
  5. Thanks for the replies guys very helpful, i will pick up a few lures of those colours and see how it goes. Hope me and my mate can get onto a few. Once again greatly appreciated, cheers.
  6. Hey guys, heading to Wyangla dam at the end of April targeting yellowbelly and cod. Would just like some suggestions as to what divers will suit the yellows and cod at Wyangla. Colour suggestions would also help. Thanks in advance, Daniel.
  7. Thank you very much i shall do that
  8. Cheers mate sounds good. What are the names of the places that sell them?
  9. Hi guys just wondering where these rods are sold in nsw around sydney or anywhere online that shipping doesnt cost to much. Has anyone used this rod and can give a short reviem and weather the 6'6 is better or the 7' for length. Would a 2004 daiwa or 1003 match up better. Thanks guys, daniel.
  10. WE were using jigheads from the 1/20 to 1/28 range. Cheers boys was a good day.
  11. Headed to Sydney today with a mate on my double kayak to try and get some bream around man made structure on plastics. I started with a gulp shrimp and my mate with an ecogear bream prawn. We both started by casting at oyster encrusted pylons which gave me one just legal fish and my mate with one just legal and one about 30. From there i got continous bites but i just couldnt hook them. My mate went on to get around 3 more fish on ecogear bream prawns and 1 on a zman slimswimz. We weren't having the luck we wanted so we moved to boat hulls, my mates first cast with the slim swimz and landed a nice just legal bream. Next cast he was on and i had swapped to the 2.5 zman grubs (good decision) and i was on also, double hookup!! We both landed the b ream and both were about 32cm each. We kept casting at boat hulls and under twin hulls boats and i got a good take and the fish headed back under the hull with a good run, i turned its head and landed it, a good fish at 36cm. We went on to get a few more bream around 25-30 cm on the grubz and then had to head home. Very pleased with 5 legal bream for me and 7 bream for my mate with most being legal, not to mention the annoying tailor that were caught. Pretty good for a 4 hour session. All fish were released unharmed. Couldn't take photos as it was raining and didn't want to ruin phone. Cheers, daniel.

  15. Planning to tackle some bream around pontoons and boat hulls, i know that zman grubs are super popular but what are some other good plastics or hard bodies for pontoons and boat hulls? And does anyone know how the bream are fishing in the sydney harbour at the moment. Cheers
  16. Not where you are fishing but was at narooma in january and the kings were busting up on the surface a far way up the inlet
  17. Cheers for the replies boys. I have crabbies and the zman grubs and will be sure to use them. Anyone fished this area or sydney lately?
  18. Hey guys im hitting up blackwattle and rozelle bay this weekend to try and get some bream around the boat hulls, and jettys near the fish market. Really want to improve my sp bream fishing and am hoping to get onto some nice ones. Has anyone fished the area lately? What soft plastics would you say are best for the areas im fishing and what weighted jigheads should i use? I greatly appreciate any help, thanks in advance, Daniel.
  19. You have a higher chance of dying when you get in a car, you dont see people scared of that. More people die each year by getting trampled by cows. It is the fact that they grow to 5 metres long and have teeth that is scary. I think culling is not the answer, we have to accept when we go to the beach it is their territory and there is always a chance of a shark.
  20. going landbased often gives limited access. I have a kayak and with the kayak get 5 times as many bass then i would if i was land based.
  21. I've heard about this happening, would be quite a pleasant surprise if it does happen.
  22. Around camden bass is the main target with the others beeing, eels, catfish and as mentioned already, monster carp.
  23. Hey guys just curious to when the bass tend to fire back up again, i love the bass fishing and cant wait for the action to start again. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.
  24. I regularly fish the nepean river around the camden area and the river is full of fish, the everage fish would be about 25-30cm but there are some real big girls in the system. I mainly use small divers that range from 38mm to 50mm in size with my favourite colours being greens and browns. Surface fishing goes off when the cicadas are singing especially at dusk, any black cicada lures will normally entice a strike. Do you have a kayak or boat?
