Headed out yesterday in search of some  Bream and Whiting. Was on the water just after 6am with my 80yr old uncle and a mate. Fishing was slow early on but as the current picked up on the rising tide, the bite picked up. Landed some quality bream and trevally before my uncle had the fight of his life on 6lb line with a small long shank hook. After about 15 mins, a 67cm Trevally was netted boat side and brought on board. It was the biggest Trevally I have seen come out of any estuary that I have fished. It measured 65-67cm and 3.3kg after being bled. We then went in search of Whiting and managed 5 decent fish, the biggest measuring 43cm (again, it was the 80yr old giving us a fishing lesson). Great day on the water although I believe the dredging taking place in the Hacking has affected the fishing somewhat. Can't complain. Still a decent catch.

Took another day of work again, thank goodness I work for myself

live bait sorted in botany at 4.30am and was out the heads by 6am, got to the fads by 6.50 and bagged out by 8.15 in what I describe as a freakeash bite, anything you threw in the water was taken , live bait was the main weapon but they took pillies and lures, the bite was all over by 8.30, we threw back another 5 fish or so by then, headed back in we trawled along the cliffs for bonito419E1B0D-6F3E-43F3-B2A5-41B482F510DB.thumb.jpeg.0c8a08676d8e6c559b6f65d0e872c4a3.jpeg bait sorted for next time,

Thanks Rebel - a calamari banquet at my house lol 😂

Plenty squid out there now, fished two locations and both held plenty.

Should be a few kings inside - seen large marks on the sounder underneath as we were catching yakkas. Also my neighbour caught a 113cm king slow trolling a livie in the deep Chanel leading out of burraneer bay 3 weeks ago. I saw the photos and it was huge! big fish for the hacking.

Another brilliant day on the Bass - crook weather (wet & windy), but better than the harbour. Hit the water with some kids from school & their dad (still on holidays and wanted a lesson in the freshwater).

11 fish before 7 am and 31 fish by 8.40, (with multiple hookups and one where we all hooked up on a school). Gotta love Feralcatt lures - deadly.

A great morning with Tony, Lachlan and James, now “Bassassins”

Thanks Heaps and a Happy new year

this was all different days, The swell, wind and tides i check before i go out

Depends on the boat, the size and how much it can handle the conditions , chop, swell etc, if got a decent size boat give your self about 1.5 hours, Browns is about 45km ofshore

damn! thats a love ride, we lauch at whallys wharf and it usually take us about 40min to get to our normal fishing spot, which only produces reel species.
