  1. Donna, The biggest Threadfin @122cm belongs to Saad, mine went 120cm, the ones in the photos above were around the 90-95 cm. All fish caught on live bait.
  2. Good work Bob, looks like Dollies are still hanging around. Was that Yesterday? Fad 20?
  3. As Zoran said HyDrive OBKI1 is made in South Australia and in my opinion superior to Sea Star. The cylinder in the old units was made from brass unlike the ally in the Sea Star. Depending on the outboard you have you mat need a different model. The above model is suitable for Mercs. I have Sea Star in my boat because she was fitted with it new, almost 10 years old without any problems and I have auto pilot too. About 20 years ago I replaced a cable steering and I used the Hy Drive just because it was Aus made, no issues in the 10 years I owned the boat .
  4. Well done Jon, great photos!
  5. Two+ hours on the dentist's chair wouldn't stop me from going fishing! Besides I had to do it for Saad.
  6. Well done Amigo ... I think we have to do the 3 Amigos thing again sometime soon. Zoran's or mine will do the trick...

    New prop

I would replace both with S/S. I wouldn't use aluminium props in anything other than very small HP motors.
  8. Good work especially on spin gear!
  9. I only bothered to measure one of the big ones I boated she was a bit over 90 cm. We were all so busy boating them and taking the hooks off. Some pesty king rats there chasing our livies. Zoran thanks again for the invite. P.S. I told you you need a bigger landing net....
  10. We got a big blue on Thursday 9th Feb. We got some livies headed out to the Botany Bay wide fads. We got a few dollies mostly undersize. We kept 6 mostly under 70 cm. We put the spread out at the fads and about an hour later the port rigger goes of. A striped puts on a show but it managed to spit the hooks. An hour later same rigger goes again. This time we see a big blue splashing on the top of the water. It dives down and we didn't see it again for 2 hours when it got close to the boat. Another 30 minutes we had him boatside, we put the tag in revived him for a few minutes and let him go to fight another day. He didn't have a tag on him.
