I would think any decent spot light would do regardless of power, it will only go as far as you pointing with it, if I invest on one I would go for something that is not going to leave me short if I ever need the distance.

I have a quick question with advice to the more experience... I'm looking to replace my belt winch to an electric one, I have found a Trex 5000, I was wondering if 5000lbs of pulling is a bit much or should I go for a 2000lbs (cheaper) My boat is a 1992 BFG 18.5 sea imp. (Heavy glass) I have no idea its weight, I calculate a ton more or less but I could be way out, I'm attaching some pictures at the bottom to see if anyone can tell me these types of winch bolts on the same holes as the old winch, looking at it it has the three bolts as the old one but not indicating the distance from each other. Good to know thanks for the advise, i guess servicing the clutch will be only if one has to do it as you explained it, I opened my reel yesterday and took a good look at the clutch and there was no way I was going to mingle with it unless I knew what I was doing, the rest of that video just shows it is not that hard to have a go and doing it yourself , if there are any other mislead on that video let us know please Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nothing better than having a quiet time cleaning your reels, nothing mayor if u can put the parts back in, by the sounds of it the problem is on the top and not the bottom end, have a go

At BCF they sale a small plastic anchor, (very cheap)I had this on my kayak with a good length of rope, very handy to have if you want to stay on a good spot , my tip on this is if the current is strong have the anchor fixed at either ends and not on the side of the kayak Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
