  1. Will try and fit a session in...Not sure wherem this will dpend on the weather !!
  2. Thanks again to Matt for organising a great day. It was a tought day and the breambos made us work hard. A big thanks to Dave C for having me onboard !! Attached is a photo of my only legal size fish of they day !! Unfortunately the rest were all undersize... It measured 36.5 cm. See yas at the next social !!
  3. Decided to end the week with a quick spin in some deeper water. Got on the water with KFISH01 approximately 6:30pm and had just over an hours worth of daylight to play with. Had a great session with a mix of species being caught. The highlight I thought was that we ended up boating 4 legal snappers ! Mick with a legal red. As me and mick were sitting there talking n jigging our lures my Procaster nearly flew out of my hands and reel went for a quick scream and pulled out this ripper trevally. Heres a snapshot of one of the Breams caught. All in all a great afternoon, with a total of 4 Legal Reds, 2 Trevas, 2 flat heads and two Bream all above legal size. Cheers All, Nick

    Petrol

Hello all, Just curious to know what kinda fuel do most people put in the 2 stroke outboards? I have been told that Premium can be abit too much for little motors, over-revving etc ? Any comments ??? Nick
  5. Could not resist, went back out there Sunday afternoon with kfish01. Saw some small schools busting up, casted and and got some follows by Salmon. One fish hooked up and pulled the hook almost immediately. Before you knew it the fish were long gone they did not want to stick around up top for too long. We cruised up and down but did not stick around for too long as the boat traffic became too much. I remembered today, why I avoid the middle harbour area...BOAT TRAFFIC AND CLOWN WAKEBOARDERS !!!!! I have never come across such annoying and mindless idiots like the ones I come across in middle harbour. We had wakeboarders going straight through schools of fish busting up in Bantry Bay just as we were getting to the fish to cast into them !!! Not too mention the idiots coming within 10 metres of our boat. I tell ya, my middle harbour hitlist grows everytime I visit !! Ah well, It was good just to be back on the water again....I guess !!!!!!!!!!! Snag, will be in touch with you during the week about the social. Nick
  6. Yeh I'm kinda regretting that I didn't go searching for a Breamasauras Saw some great size ones hanging around the ramp on the way back !
  7. Yeh it seems like it was. To be honest all we done was cruise around looking for surface activity and dropped the occasional livie. There was heaps of choppers but thats about it. Maybe next time....!!
  8. Ok they got in, but just not were they were supposed too Nick
  9. After hearing some good reports pelagics around, brother Spizza and I couldn't resist to give it a go this morning. Put the boat in at Tunks Park ramp at 6am. Stopped at a jetty quickly and filled up the live bait tank with yakkas and ventured out to throw some plastics around and drop some livies around hoping for a King. Hanged around the Spit on daybreak for zilch. There was quite a few boats around and it seemed like not much was happening. Went out towards Balmoral looking for some surface activity and found the occasional boil up. Hooked up a few times and all we could manage was some choppers. Decided to head in, went towards Bantry Bay. On the way in there was more choppers busting up and some of the local fishing guides were all over them. A larger fish was pulled out by one of the guides as we saw them use a gaff however did not get a good enough look. I presume they could of got a frigate or maybe a sambo. Bantry Bay was full of choppers again. All we could get was choppers !!!! Went back out towards Middle Head and managed a not bad trevally. I have tried to attach some photos to this post, so if they dont appear, sorry !! Nick

  16. Had a great day on the water last Sunday...I still cannot beleive how lucky we were with the weather !! Did anyone else get stuck into the choppers under the Harbour Bridge. Whilst heading out to the Harbour for a bonus species king (unsuccessful! ) we came across thousands of surface busting choppers going off directly under the bridge. Wasn't sure what to do at one stage, enjoy the view, make sure we don't get swamped by ferry waves, go and find a king or get into the choppers ??!! We ended up getting into them and tried to get underneath them hoping for a king, but there was no chance the choppers would not let the lure get down, it was instant strikes. Congrats to the top 5 on some great fish ! Thanks to Matt for all the organising and see yas all at the next social. Nick
  17. Top looking fish !! well done ! Nick
  18. wombat1, I was on the bay last Friday afternoon. Noticed many boats without lights along Mollinuex Pt as well. Not good when the sun went down !! We got a few fish though. Close mate got a 8.5kg jewie on Saturday morning in there. Cheers Nick
  19. I was out there last night as well. Pretty much exact time got on the water at 6pm. We noticed how much bait was around, however nothing seemed to be harrasing it. Did not see any fishing boiling up. We ended up having a decent session anyway, got some good Trevally around the 40cm mark (3) and a good size bream. Got to love the bay when its glassy like the last few days !!!
  20. Well done mate !! Nice fish !!! Nick
  21. Spizza, Was definately a tuf night fishing wasn't it. Good luck tonight !!
