  1. Well done mate at least you got out there and got a fish. I was looking out the window towards the harbour during the downpours thinking some poor buggers are probably fishing out there Nick
  2. Well done Spizzaaa !! As you said, only a matter of time before the big slab of bronze is dragged onto the beach ! Nick
  3. Well done Harry, Mick and Manny, It was great to get on the water again this afternoon. The weather conditions were perfect !! Pity those big long silver/gold fellas werent out to play later Enjoy the rest of the long weekend all !! I will Nick
  4. Hello Folks, Decided to hit the bay this morning with my brothers mate Tony who did not have much luck previously SP Fishing. We hit the water just after 7:30am. Worried about the 'first cast catch' jinx, we made sure first cast was retrieved very quick Ended up having a good day on the water getting some quality Trevally, Bream and flathead. Also had a king about 80cm interested when I was bringing in a Bream. We instantly dropped other lines straight down but had no interest from the king. Tony's SP adventure ended up a good one, getting the two biggest trevas of the day going 48cm and 50cm. Some photos of Tony and trevas please myself with a Bream and Treva Cheers Nick
  5. well done mate, some nice solid fish there !!
  6. 90% SPs, 10% Hardbodz for me.. Nick
  7. Unlucky Spizza, That system is very 'hit and miss' and unpredictable.. However we have seen some decent fish come out of there...occasionally ! Im sure there is some local knowledge to be gathered on fishing the system !! Nick
  8. Sorry to hear that happen to ya mate. I use Roseville heaps and I wouldn't imagine something like that happening. Well done to Club Marine for helping you out !! Nick
  9. I have been following this topic recently, and am suprised at how defensive the American Bass Boat owners/importers have become. Harry has opened a debate which has obviously created alot of interest. EVERYONE has an opinion, and an opinion is always Bias, unless it wouldnt be an opinion. Sitting on the fence here I think both styles of boats are great. The importing of American boats can only mean our Aussie manufacturers will pick up their game and offer us more competitive boats without the taxes, stamp duties (not sure how much or if even applies) and import costs to be built into the margins, which we all the know the end user pays for. I think the thought of a boat that can be found inside fishing the racks, and also being able to handle some heavy sea, catching kingies off the rocks is every fishermans dream ? AndyH, your comments and tone of voice definately call for a response. How can you write a post like that and not be asking for a response ? Harry has not asked for your time and am sure does not need to waste your time riding your boats to state an opinion. KenA, I must also disagree with you editing Harrys comments big fella. Quoting from a magazine by a professional can only add substance to the debate. Rules are rules however I don't beleive justice has been done there. It is also a pity to have a topic that has so many posts and replies being tampered with and people then not seing what was said... Me is starting to beleive their is a conflict of interest here.... Good luck to the american boat importers, yes you have a great product and I have nothing against them, but I think you need to get on the back foot abit guys and accept peoples opinions. Bring on the Aussie boats I say !! Nick
  10. A great session on a great day. The treva was a beauty ! Sorry Mick I know your more excited about the reddie Jocool, I reckon a treva would pull a kingie backwards !! Nick
  11. Well done guys, great report, to think I was in the background somewhere working in the city and you guys were having a top spin ! Nick

  16. After a few on Saturday night, decided to take advantage of gaining an hour yesterday morning and headed up for a spin to the Hawkesbury with mick (kfish01). We spun a few racks with little luck firstly. We then spun a few snags and rockfaces where we got ourselves some nice fish. Mick started the day of with a few nice bream, and before you knew it he got this snorker onboard This one went 40cm to the tip. Great fish I thought it was time I get myself some fish and managed to pull in two solid bream myself. Went and it some more racks later in the morning but with little luck again. Mick had one hardbody got demolished instantly and before he could even strike it was all cut. All up we got 5 solid Bream between 28cm-40cm. A good little sesh. Nick
  17. Hardbodies mainly used by Mick were Mcgrath Attack 35mm. 1/8" Gamakatsu Jigheads with the grubs. Dave, the fish were very silver today however some had great line patterns across them too ! Nick
  18. Thanks Jo. It was pretty murky actually..1 metre of water and you could not see the bottom. Cheers Nick
  19. It was lazy 9am start to the day for me and mick (kfish01) today on the Parramatta river. With wind forecasts not looking good we knew we didn’t have many hours on the water. It didn’t take long for us to loose our gloomy eyes after our plastics were getting smashed as soon as they hit the water. Micks first cast of a hardbody got nailed instantly by a just under legal fish. My second cast ended up in a nice 33cm fish. Mick also landed a nice fish of the same size later in the day whilst on the phone (his poor brother on the other side of the phone who could not get on the water today could only sit listening to the drag running whilst mick fought the fish). All in all it was a good day, 15 legal size fish varying from 25cm to 33cm and 10 throwbacks. Majority of fish caught on Pumpkin seed grubs, bass minnow and various hard bodies. Happy Easter to all celebrating and good fishing for the next few days !! Nick
  20. Hello All ! I thought this was an interesting pick of some sharks going through bait schools at Stradbroke Island QLD. Was on the web today @ new.com.au Nick

  22. Good onya Dave, seems like a alright day out. You heading out this weekend at all ? Nick
  23. Dave C, the Smelt 3inch Bass Minnor produced again. U been on the water all lately? ? Snag, you planning on getting out there ? Nick
  24. A great little spin in such a short time again with kfish01. Not bad considering I was there for added weight to the boat....getting a solid trev was a good bonus. A great ride, and some great speeds on the water..I don't think Waterways were impressed Cheers Nick
