Hey Rabs, fished with v factor earlier this year. We caught plenty of wahoo and dropped a blue marlin at the boat. If you dont have a good time fishing Vanuatu then there is something wrong with you. Best food we found were local beef and the food stalls in the markets at port vila. We went to the seamounts about 40 miles offshore. Amazing fishery. Sore arms at the end of the day. Hey Sqidboy the tyrnos 30 is the same as the twenty only a little wider. They will basically do the same job. Only a fractional weight difference. The kingies wont know the difference. Cheers, Adam.

G'day Humesy, you can sort a beaut livebait tank for much less than $700. I used a tub from a caravan shop, a stainless scoop on the transom and a pump straight on top of it. The whole setup came in under $200 and works a treat. Sorry no photos cause the boat is out of town at the moment. The tub is white with a black screw down lid and is small enough that I can just tip the whole thing over the side at the end of the day. Probably one of the sponsors can do the work. Cheers Adam.

Hey guys got a good news story about outboard foils. I have a 15ft glass tiller steer 50 hp 4st that was riding like a pig. She would porpoise and needed full noise just to get her on the plane. As soon as I backed off a bit she would drop off the plane.Weight distribution was not an issue so I thought I needed a new prop. I called the guys a Solas and they said what I needed was a foil. They mentioned permatrim as well as their own brand of stainless jobs. I went for the solas one and it was delivered the next day for $90 all up. Only took 30 minutes to fit. Took her for a test run straight away and it had transformed the ride completely. The negative ride characteristics had been overcome and I could benefit from the beautiful shape of the hull actually working properly, without her bum buried all the time. I bought the boat as an ex demo model from a company that actually put the boat and motor together as an ideal package. The manufacturers should have solved this problem before selling the boat. Anyway the fishing was slow as my number one kingy spot was empty. We managed to drop one bonny near the heads and thats about it. Sunset on sydney harbour was worth the trip anyway. Cheers, Adam.

I have tried ironsilk in 10kg and it had poor knot strength and was quite brittle. Would not recommend it. Cheers, Adam.
