  5. yeh just off the wharf got a whiting down near te bridge on a gulp, but all the keepable fish were caught off the wharf. regards mark

  8. im supposed to be heading out on the 1st and 2nd of july for an overnighter i'm a little bit reluctant now will have to keep an ear out as the time gets closer to see if i'm still going to. regards mark

  10. the water was extremely brown, you couldnt see at all realy, the silver fish you could somewhat see the colour of it from a distance, still not far though. but the jacket which were dark were only seen when they got basically to the surface. regards mark

  12. my cousin tryed to buy a real off ebay, first off the guy added bids himself to try and get more money, my cousin then stopped bidding. the guy then said u can have it for your last bid, but my cousin said nut u screwed me round so i want it for this price. im not sure on the final price. then in the end he never got the reel at all. regards mark

    second is definately a sweep, i quite often get them at the rip bridge in brisbane waters. i also have never seen those brown marks on the tail, or maybe i've just never noticed or looked for it before. regards mark

  15. hi all went to bobbin head on sunday morning with a mate from school, went down with prawns started fishing at a bout 6 but no action until the sun started show light at bout 7. when this happened got a couple of small bream nothing to even put a bend in the rod. bout a half hour of small bream and the leatherjacket move in. we ended up catching about 15 jacket, kept 11. 4 of them were just to small to keep the smallest kept was 25 cm the largest was just over 35 cms. there was also a nice little silver trevally caught by my mate. stopped fishing bout 10. all in all a nice day no wind at all, a tiny little 10 minute sprinkle the rest of the time was overcast. regards mark
  16. thanks to offtap, im also heading out this weekend or at least hope to. i'm keen to try for hairtail and this has given me a base to start from. regards mark

  18. i use buttterflied tailor and mullet. . . along with squid. . . thats what i would stick to. regards mark

  21. i'd chase bream in places like the vines, pumkin point and bar point. using a very smelly bait which is needed as there is very little visual under the water. but the rain will definately put fish onto the bite as lots of food gets washed into the water and fish come onto the bite. regards mark
