Someone should invent a remote control robot jocky wheel,
that way you could sit on the porch n remotely manoeuvre the trailer out of the garage and onto the tow ball of the 4x4.
ready to go ?

-
Your right on the money Zoran.
i totally agree.
-
they are both solid wheels now.
-
Just a thought!
i put an extra jocky wheel on my car trailer and also changed from pump up to solid wheels, and it made a big difference moving it around on concrete, easier to steer and push.
so it now has double jocky wheels exactly opposite each other on the front drawbar.

That would be perfect for under the bottom spring plate fab.
if the jacks not too high.

Yeah Donna I seen that in the date stamp.
but was hopeing the orig poster would see and update the story.
Its a shame that people post up stories but then fail to follow up afterwards.
Cheers marty

Haha,
I second that big Neil.
will be soon as the weathers a bit warmer. ?
-
Good idea but
i would have used a bit of 100mm angle instead of flat bar.
so it cradles the axle.

No like

P.s
its a good way to fine old topics as well.
For information.

I like clicking on the today's birthdays usernames to see when the members were last online.
50% are recent so far and 50% years ago.
its pretty good to see.
i know I have too much time on my hands, lol, ?

Subframe looks very nice - is "hoop pine ply" the same as marine plywood?
Trailcraft43 - Just out of curiosity - why would the aluminium rivets corrode?
My tinny has aluminium rivets which holds the bench seats in (and various other things), the boat is well over 40 years old and they show no signs of corrosion.
I think you're better off with alloy rivets on an alloy frame, then SS rivets on an alloy frame (even with tefgel - i still worry about galvanic corrosion).Alloy poprivits.
you ever seen a boat with canopy clips that snap off? from corrosion.
that were alloy popriveted on?

A couple of years ago we had a boat on Boatsales and gumtree. The boat was in top condition and we were asking for the price to match.
We had a few come to look at it from Boatsales and liked it but didn't buy for various reasons, mostly it was bigger than they imagined it and storage in their situation wouldn't work. The eventual buyer came from gumtree at the advertised price. One viewing a water test a few days later and that was it.
I remember a few low ballers but I would ignore them or play games with them. I never give out my address until they are leaving home and on their way. To many no shows wasting time otherwise.
I always give an address up the road.
the local fire brigade station, ? Its 6 doors up.
that way when they ring and say we're here!
but do you live in the fire station?
haha, (i laugh) and say I'll stand out the front and if you head east watch for me.
works every time.
the ones that got the address, that I never hear from will never know,?
-
Yeah!
i wouldn't go near the bung ones!
if they fail the boat will sink,
i like knowing it's a standard one and tight with nothing to go wrong.
that link dosent work Ducky.

Prob safer to stay to the sides of creeks n rivers.
or have flags like mobility scooters.
all boils down to keeping a lookout for safety.
Its the speeding boats fault I think.
