Was out there yesterday too with no luck at the fads or the peak. Tried in a bit closer and got 10 of the smallest kings ever as well as a bonito and tailor. Hopefully the water warms up soon!!

Hi all, This is my first report on fish raider and hopefully not the last. The last few days fishing have been amazing. Myself and the rest of my family has come up north to Hamilton island for a holiday and couldn't resist going out to the reef for some fishing. We caught most of our fish trolling or jigging. The highlights were the 115cm and 111cm Spanish mackerels as well as a 60cm coral trout. Hopefully the fishing is a sign of what's to come for 2017. Tight lines, Aeger..

Hey Gordo, I usually don't use scent and have only used it a few times. However from what I've heard it definitely increases the amount of fish caught, should probably use it more. Hopefully that helps.

Great job on the fish! I wasn't a fan of sp's either until middle of this year and now they are my favourite. Went flicking plastics at my favourite flathead spot yesterday and brought a 70cm flatty to the side. Don't have any pics as he spat me off just as I was getting the net! Devastated! Anyway good job on the catch.

What a great haul. We caught some trag off port Stephens for the first time ever, all on pilchards and squid. They are great eating too!

Great report! Shame about the lack of kingfish and tailor. Its a real shame that people keep fish that small, obviously don't care about fish for the future.

Nice catch!! Went out today and saw the big school of salmon around Nth Head, Tried everything to no luck though. Good job on the fish!!
